REFURBISHED FORERUNNER 305
Pros: price, functionality Cons: big and bulky
Works fine. No way to tell that the unit is refurbished. Super price. I only use about 10% of the capabilities of the watch, but what I do use works very well, and is easy and intuitive to use.

LOVE THE FORERUNNER 305
Pros: great signal, useful features Cons: maybe battery life
Have used this GPS a lot in the last 6 months and love it! I have never lost a signal when in thick trees in Alberta and the mountains. The battery life is adequate although not great. Had all the features I need for running the Death Race and adventure racing.

GREAT LITTLE UNIT
Pros: not tied to any bike or equipment. take it and go! Cons: no clock! do i have to wear a watch as well?
This is a great device. I got the 305 three weeks ago, and have taken it bike commuting, XC riding, and running. Not having to set up sensors on each bike is fantastic.
The free Garmin connect site is great, you can upload your stats and share them with friends and colleagues. The cumulative stats are great, and the online workout player is fun too. Now my riding partner wants a 305!
Being able to track data on my runs is great. I can now run anywhere and know the distance covered.
It's not as bulky as it looks. It's light, and fits well on my not too large wrist. It also mounts well on a bike handlebar, using either the Garmin mount or, better yet, the Polar mounts, which let you keep the wrist band, and are less expensive.
Acquiring satellites can take a couple of minutes, so turn it on a few minutes before you head out on your ride.

GREAT PRODUCT GREAT PRICE
Pros: great value and does what it says it will do.
I used it for the first time on the Grind and the trees didn't mess up the GPS. I also like the way the output info can be expanded or contracted in size and the multiple read outs. As a general comment on the maps in Training Center there doesn't seem to be any streets details. Am I missing something? The routes are plotted nicely but they are just yellow lines in the middle of big patches of white. No references.

FITNESS GPS
Pros: ease of operation, bike and run Cons: slow to find satellites at times.
Bought FR 305 for bike use and it works very well there. Also using it for running. Easy to operate, display large enough to see and many many features. Garmin Connect is spectacular, especially seeing runs and rides on maps with details of heartrate, cadence etc.

GARMIN REFURBISHED FORERUNNER 305
This has been a great tool. I'm a newbie runner in a small town and do not have a running group to run with. This is fantastic. I'm still figuring out all the potentials! I love the multi-sport advantage. I'm a very small boned female and have no problem wearing it. For any females, I wear the heart monitor right under my bra without the back strap on (fits perfect at the base of your workout bra) and have had no problems. Love all the features-I've recommended it to several friends already. Top rated purchase! Do not fear the refurbished!!

GREAT BULKY UNIT
Pros: functionality Cons: size
This does everything i could ask. It may take a minute or two to find the satellites, but once it does it maintains signal very well. I would recommend against using the OEM software in favour of Sport Tracks (FREE @ ttp://www.zonefivesoftware.com/SportTracks)
The unit is bulk and feels like a wrist computer. I'm a computer geek so I don't mind :)
I also ordered the optional footpod for when i run indoors. It is very accurate. FYI - my unit was delivered with a dead battery. It me some time to realize the unit wasn't defective. you can buy a new battery for a few bucks, not a big deal.

GREAT FOR RUNNING ... AND CYCLING
Pros: easier to use, more sensitive.
Picked this up for my wife, for her marathon training. We've had a few: one of the earlier Timex ones, then the forerunner 205. This seems much more sensitive, doesn't lose the signal ... even hiking up the Grouse Grind produced a great track later for review (really neat in Google Earth.) Great value, especially at the refurb price. Have recommended to several friends and family. I have and Edge 705, which is great too, but this seems to record the track just as well.

EXCELLENT BUY
Pros: picks up satellites very quickly.
I like the forerunner 305. It does the job it is supposed to to very well. I bought a refurbished model and it looks brand new. It showed up in excellent shape. GPScity were very quick and efficient and I hat the unit in my hands within 72 hours of placing the order - I live in Ontario. The order would have been here within 48 hours but I had missed the order window for the day I ordered it.

REFURBISHED FORERUNNER 305
Pros: same high quality as found in brand new product
Although a little reluctant to purchase a refurbished unit, the price was too good to pass up. I have been using this unit for a month now and it behaves no differently than does a brand new unit (so far). Monitoring my heart rate during marathon training is an added dimension of performance and fitness feedback that is very useful. I check my heart rate almost as often as my pace.

BEST TRAINING AID I EVER HAD
Pros: versatility and completeness of tools Cons: menu not intuitive
The 305 does everything it is supposed to do very well. I have excellent satelite reception and love the ability to moitor my heartrate as I do different types of workouts. It takes a bit of trial and error to figure out the workouts and courses features, but it is manageable. This tools gives me one more incentive to go out and train. Refurbished appeared as new.

GARMIN FORERUNNER 305 (REFURBISHED)
Pros: great all around tool. Cons: could be a bit smaller
I got device to keep track of my distances, times and heart rate. I was really pleased to see the variety of settings from slow walk all the way up to a custom program. At this point I have barely scratched the surface of what it is capable of doing. Really like the forerunner and think it is a very worthwhile purchase at a reduced price for the refurbished.

NO PROBLEMS. JUST WORKS.
No problems. It just works the way it should. Better than most GPS at detecting slow motion - important for walkers as opposed to runners.
