Along the way, the GPS V provides display prompts with audible beeps that alert the driver to necessary turns, distance to upcoming turns, course deviation, and distance to final destination.
The GPS V's built-in, routable basemap provides detail for interstates, interstate exit data (USA only), highways, rivers, and lakes in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, plus commonly used streets in metropolitan areas. With the press of a button, the built-in basemap will provide turn-by-turn guidance to a destination via interstates and highways. With downloaded maps from the City Select CD-ROM (included), the GPS V provides turn-by-turn guidance down to residential street-level detail.
