Cons: plastic (but so is the original)
ordered the parts and it was shipped promptly. Plastic threaded part broke a few minutes after reassembly sending parts flying across room. Emailed GPScity and they sent out a replacement at no charge the same day.

PERFECT FIT, SAVED ME $100

When I unplugged my Garmin traffic reciever/GPS powercord from the power outlet and the tip exploded into many pieces I thought it was going to have to be replaced. It was winter and my door was open, I searched and searched but could not find the little tip anywhere. I searched the web and found the cord to be real expensive due to the FM traffic reciever built into it. Then I found this kit. The price was right. The shipping reasonable and fast.The fit was perfect, the repair took less than 5 minutes. My original cord is now like new AND I have a few spare parts left over.

TOP CLASS SERVICE
in respect to the low value of my purchase, less than 5 USD, was the service and shipment in world class, from order to delivery less than a week with standard postal service from US to Denmark. - very good and on top I saved about 40 USD as the alternative to the spare parts was to buy a new power cord with the 12V car plug. According to Garmin was this alternative the only solution, no spare parts available, however I have informed Garmin (Denmark) about the possibility to buy spare parts to there GPS products from gpscity and Garmin have responded positively.

Garmin suffered a broken plug. Thought I might have to buy a whole new cord/plug. Even though Garmin has part available at a higher price, GPSCity price was lopwer and staff extremely helpful. When the power cord for my Garmin Nuvi fell apart as I was unplugging it, I lost the little button on the end. I took the car apart trying to find it, to no avail. I thought I would have to by the whole assembly (expensive!) but found this site and these parts when I did a search for the GTM2x. I couldn't believe my good fortune! And at a truly reasonable price! So, I bought two so I'd have a backup. The price was great, they arrived very quickly, and they work perfectly. I couldn't be more happy with this transaction!

GREAT HELP
I am very happy I was able to find replacement parts for the adaptor of my Garmin 760 Nuvi which recently broke. Within a short time, it was working well again. My problem was that the threaded black plastic insert broke, which apparently is a common problem.

When my charger fell apart upon removing it from my vehicle it was dark outside, and I was dismayed to discover that I had lost the metal prong part.
I was further dismayed to find out that this very event has happened to many other people. Perhaps it is a flaw with the charger for the GPS?
However, I was delighted to discover that I could purchase a replacement parts kit from gpscity.ca. A representative from gpscity was very helpful and courteous.
The price was very reasonable, I am very happy to be able to charge my GPS in the vehicle while using it once again.
Delivery of my order was very prompt, and right to the door. Thank you gpscity.

WRONG PARTS
After losing the "Nose Pieces" from the 12volt cigarette light cord for my Garmin I contacted GARMIN for PN identification assistance. I was given the PN for the wrong item (which I did not know at the time) then told that since I live in Canada I could not order from GARMIN. I took the PN information given to me to GPS city, placed the order and it arrived 2 days later. It was the wrong part (it is the part shown in the image to the right of this field.) I contacted GPS city. The correct part was dispatched that day, I recieved it in 2 days. I was only charged the courier charge. I returned the wrong part and recieved a refund.
Nice catch GPS City, Calgary location!

I lost this piece to my charger, but I didn't want to buy a whole new charger. I emailed Garmin to ask what the part number was. They were charging about 5 bucks for it, but the cost of shipping was way too much. Found this part here, and the shipping was much less. On top of that, I received the part in just 2 days! This was perfect for my charger, and the service was cheap and quick!

This 5 piece kit to repair the power cord for my Garmin C550 GPS was exactly what I needed. The black screw cap broke off of end of the cord that plugs into the cigarette lighter. It is important to have all of these parts in the kit because once this end breaks off they can be easily lost. The kit was easy to order and cost about half of what it would have cost ordering it through Garmin. The repair kit arrived in just a few days, much quiker than I had anticipated. The repair took just a few seconds and had everything I needed.

The Garmin plug fell apart in the car's socket and I lost the tip when it rolled under the car seat, through a hole in the carpet and down into the car body somewhere. This kit got me back to a functional "power plug/traffic receiver" again. All Garmin could offer was to sell me a whole new plug/receiver for a lot more money. Actually, it was the helpful Garmin Cust. Service representative who suggested I get this kit from GPSCity.

It's annoying that the Garmin in-car charger has a tendency to lose its tip (judging by the number of people who have experienced that problem). However, this little kit easily replaces the lost parts at very little cost.

I have a Garman Street Pilot C 580.The end cap for the DC Outlet plug poped off. I had requested a replacement from Garman and was informed I would have to purchase a new cable. However after reviewing the repair kit offered by GPSCITY.com, I contacted them about the use with a GDB 50 Cable. The end cap fit like a glove and I am now back in business.

All the parts fit great! If your car charging plug is broken, why spend $30.00 or more on a new one when you can just replace the parts for less than $10.00?? I am so glad I stumbled across this site and this product!

The product was great, great service. But I was charged $10 shipping for a (approximate) 4in*4in box, when the product I needed would have fit in a $0.53 envelope, a little disappointed witht he wasted postage. Otherwise very happy.

Cons: as mentioned above about the spring.
The product was missing one essential part, the spring. However I was able to use the spring from a fountain pen and combined with the kit, I was able to repair my GPS.

REPLACEMENT TOP FOR CIGARETTE LIGHTER ADAPTER
Pros: inexpensive way to keep garmin operational
The replacmenet tips appears to be identical to the original. My original came apart and I put it back together a couple of times before I stopped removing it from my car. Left in place, it worked fine for six months until the threaded plastic part broke. It would be a good idea to keep a spare parts kit on hand since the Garmin design is not robust. It desn't stand up well to being removed and it doesn't stand up well when left in place.

Cons: website a bit overwhelming - called instead
I'm glad I found gpscity.ca otherwise I would have been paying dearly for replacing the cord for my Garmin. The part was easy to put on and my GPS works like mint. I called got a nice and helpful operator at the company and he helped me get it in 24 hours. I definitely recommend these guys!

The car charger for our Garmin Nuvi simply stopped working and we didn't know why, as the fuse seemed to be in perfect shape. We ordered this kit, replaced all the parts, and everything is working again. No instructions needed -- it's all intuitive.

GARMIN 'TIP' REPAIR KIT
Pros: easy/cheap/complete repair kit.
Cons: learning of it, then finding available for sale.
Easy/inexpensive fix that saved $$ replacement wire cost, delivered in time for using on trip. Note: battery mode is not nearly as bright, ie: 'washed out' (battery?). Greatest difficulty was digging the broken tip from socket. Inexplicably, this kit is NOT found on Garmin's website, but is suggested by Garmin Support in email response. Garmin graciously shipped kit out, but ETA was 1wk+. Ordered an second from GPSCity with expedited delivery. Thank You GPSCity for not just stocking, but displaying it, ie: 'search hit'. Nuvi works fine, and spare is insurance.

ALSO WORKS ON THE GARMIN GDB-50 POWER CABLE

Like Many others, I'd lost the tip-end parts of my Garmin power cable. I was very pleased to see that GPSCity stocked the exact parts to fix the problem. It took less than a minute to install the missing parts and its working again. I have high praise for GPSCity that they took the time to source these parts...that is terrific!
The parts arrived in just 2 days to the East coast via US Mail(very fast). My only complaint is that they need to use better packing for this item. The envelope used for shipment has very small bubble-wrap that is not sufficient to protect the 4-prong spring clip that is included. Mine was completely flattened and bent by the time it arrived. Maybe they could load some packing peanuts in the envelope and have better protection. Luckily, that 4-prong clip was not one of the parts I lost and I just used my old part instead.
This was my first order with GPSCity and would recommend ordering from them. Hopefully someone will address the packing issue and all is good.

IDEAL REPLACEMENT FOR NUVI PARTS
The replacement items for my Nuvi charger worked like a charm. Fitted it all in less than 10 min and plugged it in...and it was good to go. And did I say, it is inexpensive here as against Garmin (who wanted $11 for just the silver tip, leave alone all the other pieces!)
In future, I'll make sure to periodically hand tighten these end connectors on the Nuvi charger, they do tend to come off when you frequently remove / put them into the car cigarette lighter charger.

the item was what i expected from Garmin. the thing that was great was it was here almost immediately from GPSCITY, and it was WAAAAY cheaper than if I had bought it from Garmin. i mean i think i paid 10% of what i would have paid, including shipping!!!!
