HANDY ITEM
Pros: easy to mount and sterdy.
Cons: can only mount perpendecular to the handle bars.
I now have multiple bike mount adapters for my Legend C so I can move in from ATV to Bike to Recumbent bike. I keep an extra one around just in case I find some other place to mount my GPS.
Recommend? YES

MOTORCYCLE / BIKE GPS MOUNT
Pros: easy, stable installatioin
Cons: loose fit until shimmed.
This was a simple and sturdy method to mount my eTrex Vista on 7/8" motorcycle bars. One easy modification was required to stabilize the GPS in the mount. A small form fitted shim was inserted in the mount permanently. It happened that the plastic blister pack material was exactly the correct thickness to cut it from. Wound definitely buy again.

GARMIN MOUNT
Pros: solid and secure, unobtrusive when not used.
Cons: none
Nice little adapter at a reasonable price, works well with my Garmin Vista HCx. The smaller version fit nicely on my Trek bike that had a handlebar diameter of 1.0 inch, just at the point where the larger version might be recommended. You have to pick just the right adapter for your Garmin. The little clip supplied with my Vista HCx snapped easily and reliably into the adapter. GPSCity shipped promptly and reasonably.

This is the same part as http://www.gpscity.ca/item-garmin-emap-bike-mount/emapbikemnt.htm save a few bucks and buy the emap mount, and just throw away the little clip for the emap

If you're looking to buy just a handlebar mount (without the clip), it is cheaper for you to buy the handlebar mount kit (part # 010-10204-00) at $6.95 (with the clip and throw the clip away) than to buy this handlebar mount alone (part # 010-10496-01) at $10.95.
It does make sense, doesn't it?
