DASH MOUNT
Pros: does not leave any residue like a suction mount
Cons: somewhat bulky for some dashes
This works very well if you do not like to attach your GPS to your windshield. Stays in place even if you do some tight cornering.

WORKS GREAT
Pros: easy to set up and use.
Cons: a bit heavy when traveling by air.
It's a whole lot better that the windshield suction cup mount. Also it's easy to hide the whole unit when you leave your vehicle.

This product arrived on time, in good condition, and works as I expected it to. I really love it - after struggling with a mount where the GPS was always falling, this is a pleasure! Reasonably priced.

NOT THE BEST!
Pros: better than a windshield mount
Cons: bounces around too much
I bought this mount for my Garmin Nuvi 2460 but it bounces around on my dash. It doesn't help that we have the worst roads in Canada plus it is a little bulky. I ended up buying model#010-11280-00 which is a way better friction mount. It stays in place much better plus it is much more slim lined.

This is an easy and unobtrusive way to secure your gps without taking blocking your field of vision on the windshield. Its sits firmly on the dash and can be adjusted easily for any driver or vehicle. Its simple to instal and take away when not required.

It is impossible to use a GPS without this. Before this the GPS never stayed on the windshield and would always fall off.

Pros: love having on the dash instead of windshield
Cons: doesn't connect to gps as tightly as it could
This is perfect....stays on dash...so easy to remove and "hide" when you want. The windshield mount that I had before was a pain and always left a mark on the windshield and living in AZ the plastic on the mount would crack from heat and I had to replace it a couple of times. This is just so much more convenient. I can't say enough good things about it and wish I had bought one years ago!

EXCELLENT MOUNT
Pros: much sturdier than the suction pad type
The original windscreen mount with a suction pad supplied with my Garmin Nuvi GPS broke at the swivel (extremely poor design!) I ordered a anti-skid assembly online through gpscity and it was delivered in two days and was just as described. It is an excellent buy.

Pros: functional,flexible,secure, mobile mount.
Cons: none
With dashboard/windshield designs in newer vehicles being so different, visibilty can be compromised easily with many windshield mount devises. The Garmin StreetPilot c5xx mount provided at least 3 options for maximum visiblity and location flexibility. Easily moved from my car to any other vehicle. Brilliant !

Excellent product! Works exactly as advertised! Its better than the 'windshield mount' since it allows the relocation of the GPS between the cars in the family and no need 'to spit on the suction cup to make it stick to the glass' (practical solution) ... It really 'stays put' on the dash as positioned.

THE BEST ALTERNATIVE
Tired of a suction cup falling off from the windshield and the mark leaves behind. This is the best alternative for your Garmin GPS. It sits on the dashboard securely and would not move a millimeter. Very stable and easy to move around, especially if you have two vehicles. Love it!

AN EXCELLENT GPS MOUNT
Pros: holds gps almost like it was mounted solid
Cons: i wouldn't call it pretty
I bought this for a Nuvi 1390T in an '08 Civic. The GPS stays put, even though it's on an uneven part of the dash. There's no reason to believe this mount won't outlast your car and gps - can you ask for more?

GLAD I BOUGHT IT!

Good unit. Each of the 4 "pods" hold ballast material so it stays put and does not slide around. Underside surface is soft leather-like for a good hold. Has a quick release feature and also has "locking" cam to hold it tight. I'm not an "off-roader" but I think it would be OK on moderately rough roads.

STREET PILOT AND NON SKID ASSEMBLY
Pros: durable, moveable, and not too large
This is an excellent mount for the Nuvi. It is easily moved around so the passenger can hunt for fuel or restaurants without detaching it from the base. It is off the windshield, which is makes road visiblilty for the driver better.

Pros: easily move gps to floor while shopping
This thing is so good, that everytime I upgrade my GPS, I buy a new one! Why you ask? Because I give my older GPS to someone who really needs one, and the mount is a real bonus!
It makes moving your GPS between vehicles so simple. And the best feature of all, is instantly putting the GPS on the floor out of plain view when shopping.
I think it should be standard issue,and come with every Garmin.

This Garmin product is high quality and although portable, the 1450 stays put on this base which conforms easily to both my car and truck dash. I didn't like the idea of a suction mount to the windshield.

SURVIVED 2,000KM IN ITALY
Pros: stays put
Cons: bit heavy when flying and watching lugage weight
I just came back from a few weeks in Italy. The old suction cup holder would last a few kms on a straight highway before falling on the floor. This stayed put through the Amalfi coast roads and up to and thru Umbria. A wee bit heavy but otherwise great.

Pros: would recommend for most car dashs.
Cons: could use longer, heavier horizontal side weights
It works very well with our Zumo 550 GPS as long as the dash surface only has a mild slant. Much better then leaving a mark on thje windshield the suction cup holder that came with it, leaves. Very solid mount in most cases. Well worth trying.
