GARMIN 24K TOPO MAPS
Pros: ecellent gps features
Cons: poor mapping
These topo maps are about what I expected, Garmin makes great handheld GPS units and insist on producing very poor topo maps. I an not thay much of a computer or GPS geek, but to me, the solution is simple!! Just use USGS mapping. Not USGS data, but the actual USGS topo maps. I know it can be done because I had a MIO that used them via a program called "Outdoor Navigator". I used the system until I broke the unit and it is no longer available. My primary complaint with the available topo (I have a 60csx and a Dakota 20) is close in detail. My opinion is that Garmin should do what they do best, - build a GPS (which they do very well) and allow the use of the best mapping available.

GREAT MAP
Pros: 1/24000 scale provides very good detail.
Just used this map on a 500 mile trip. Even though its a topo map I could use it for the highway portion of the trip also.

VERY GOOD DETAIL ON THIS TOPO MAP
Pros: easy to install
This was a welcome improvement on the stock topo on my Garmin Oregon 400

VERY DETAILED AND ACCURATE.
Used this card on my recent trip to the Glacier Park. Extremely detailed map with every campground and trail there. Definetely worth the money.

Works very well. Was about what I expected. Still haven't used it much so it may be more of a "user" problem...

MOUNTAIN NORTH TOPO MICRO SD CARD

Tried out the new card this weekend. I found it to be very accurate in the backcounty. Some of the trails have be changed by the Forest Service. Those changes seem to be minor but I doubt the changes are mapped anywhere. As for detail I am very impressed, the map is easy to use and has more information in it than I had expected. I wish the screen was larger on my GPS (Etrex Legend). To get the trail (fine) detail you need to zoom in quite a ways and them it's hard to see the area terain surrounding where you are at. Overall no regrets
