Update your existing North America City Navigator NT DVD or GPS Software to Version 2009 with this DVD. This update DVD is for NT products only! (See below for the compatible Garmin units and Mapping Software) The NON-NT units require the Update North America City Navigator DVD 2009 (not available at this time).
This retail map update DVD offers full coverage of North America - United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. This new generation of Garmin Map Update allows customers a simple and convenient way to update the detail maps and the latest over 6 million points of interest in their NT-compatible Garmin product. Customers will have all the latest details to navigate with confidence.

Understanding the Garmin City Navigator Update Process:
With two versions of the Garmin City Navigator NT North America Software available, how do you know which one to purchase? Here is a quick explanation of each DVD and how they differ:
1. FREE Garmin City Navigator NT North America UPDATE DVD
This DVD is free to purchase, but requires an unlock code to access the updated mapping data. If you have purchased your compatible Garmin product (see list below) after May 1, 2008, the map data may be out of date. You can receive a free map update by first registering your Garmin GPS unit at www.mygarmin.com.
The registration process will identify if you are eligible for a free update.
2. Garmin City Navigator NT North America UPDATE DVD with Unlock Code
This DVD is available on line for purchase at GPS City. You can buy this update DVD when you are not eligible for the FREE Garmin update DVD mentioned above - it is cheaper than the price of buying the unlock code from the Garmin website.

Compatible Garmin GPS and Software:
This update is for NT versions of City Navigator Software. The NON-NT units require the Update North America City Navigator DVD 2009 (not available at this time). You must already own a Garmin compatible product to make use of an update. The update data will not load without an existing installation of your older version of the Garmin software or GPS.
Please note that this update will not work with units that do not use the NT City Navigator software (ie. StreetPilot 2620)
