GARMIN USB PC CABLE
Pros: works good.
This is the cable that You have to have in order to plug the unit into the plug in the wall. Why it does not come with the unit is beyond me. But it also works great on the computer as well. Good product and also reasonable in price and also fast delivery service.

BETTER THAN OEM SUPPLIED CORD

My new GPSMap 62st came with a horridly short and thin USB cable having no ferrite core. Well, maybe a ferrite core is not absolutely necessary, given low or moderate levels of local emi... But the length and substantial quality of this 'accessory' cable is certainly appreciated. It seems much like the cables that Garmin used to supply in the box with new receivers. You got a wimpy cable with your brand- new $500 unit? (Geesh!) Well, buy this one and consider yourself lucky it's still available.

VERY POOR QUALITY
Cons: poor quality plastic coating
I recently purchased a Garmin Map60CSx unit. The cable that was included is of very poor quality (Dollar Store like) It is stiffer plastic coating and has cracked in the centre. It has the word "Garmin" on the USB head and "China" etched on the other. It does not work. It lasted 3 months. I have another cable that came with another unit purchased 7-8 years ago that is still working.

Cons: no downsides!
This is what Garmin should have included with the NuVi 550 I purchased! In any case, this cable is inexpensive and works fine! I see no difference between this and the much more expesive cable purchased from garmin.

This USB PC cable worked perfectly with my Garmin Nuvi 260W GPS, which did not come with the unit when I bought it.
The service from gps city was excellent, I might add.

I was able to register and update software for my Garmin GPS without any problems at all. If UBS cable does not come with a newly purchased GPS, good idea to purchase this cable also. GPSCity is second to none when it comes to service and price.

This cable is so ubiquitous that you can order it elsewhere for less than quarter of this price (with free shipping, no tax and duties), and without that annoying and useless ferrit "noise filter" on it.

This is merely a USB-to-MINI USB cable...no electronics involved. SO...You might already have this in your box o' cables. But if not, this one is well-constructed.

GREAT SERVICE GUYS
Great service from gpscity, fast and delivered before I had a chance to think. The USB cord should be included with Garmin's units, how else are you supposed to update your maps. But it is cheap enough and I suppose keeps the retail quotable cost competative. It works just like it should...go figure!!
