THE WILL BREAK AGAIN BECAUSE OF DESIGN
Pros: i can have a functiona cap
Cons: expect it to break again
This is the only place I could find a replacement cap and am very happy to get it. Unfortunately I expect it will break at the fold just like the original one provided by Garmin

LOOKS LIKE THE ORIGINAL
Pros: fits perfectly
Cons: won't know until it wears out like the original.
Quick and easy to remove original and install the new one and fits perfectly. My old one lasted about 5 years. Guess I'll have to see how long this one lasts.

NEEDED ITEM
Pros: needed
Cons: wrong name
This item is needed to protect connecting pin if you remove your GPS. Item was hard to fine due to its name. Should consider renaming this item. Short life span.

ZUMO 550 WEATHER CAP
Pros: as good as the original
Cons: garmin should strengthen the hinge point
The weak link on the Zumo 550 mount is the weather cap, it "breaks" at the joint over time and needs to be replaced, this one is as good as the original and is easy to replace, Thanks for the quick shipment to...

GARMIN ZUMO 550 MOTORCYCLE CRADLE WEATHER CAP
Pros: the part is cheap.
Cons: works poorly
This weather cap was purchased to replace on that broke. I'm sure that Garmin give it their best shot at design but this design falls short of functional. The cap relies on a flexible rubber connector peice that will deteriate over time and break. When new, the flexible connecting peice makes the weather cap come off the mount. The cap does not have enough friction to overcome the force of the connector and will not stay on the mount. The design is poor. Garmin can do better than this.
