MONEY SAVER
Pros: loads cheaper than going to the dealer!
This was to replace the harness I had on my 1200GS which I sold. Wanted to mount my Zumo on my new bike, and this was perfect, and very reasonable.

CAUTION TO NON-ZUMO BUYERS

The end that connects to the GPS unit is NOT a USB connection, it is a proprietary Garmin/Zumo connection.
Overlooking this fact was MY fault. I must have looked at half a dozen power connectors for mounting my Nuvi 500 to my motorcycle battery. After a while of pouring through accessories, its easy to get fatigued and miss little, but important facts such as this. I'm sure this works fine, it's just not going to work for me.
If you're looking for something that connects via USB, check out http://www.gpscity.com/garmin-power-and-data-cable-for-nuvi-5xx-zumo-220.html instead.

ZUMO 550 CABLE
Pros: fits, lots of length, no snags
I bought another 550 cradle and motorcycle mounts for my second harley and although I thought I had thought of everything, and made the assumption that the cradle came with the cable, it didn't, so ordered one. It cost me extra delivery charges, but it arrived quickly. Another satisfied customer.

I used this and the Zumo Cradle so equip my second bike to share the Zumo 550 with no fuss. The cable is complete including a fused holder. Good quality cable with plenty of length.

COMPARED TO WHAT?
Cons: no connectors on leads
Ummm, pretty much no competition here. No alternative, but the cable works fine. Seems to me that with the built in fuse most bikers will install the cable directly to the battery. The wires are tiny, tiny, tiny and make it difficult to secure loop connectors for battery terminal hookup. I've had a failure there on my first install. Garmin should attach loop ends for a standard install. People who don't want to hook direct could simply clip them off.

BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE OF ANY ONLINE SITE! - I've ordered many ram parts from this place for years. I've never had an issue. This time I created one. I placed an order for 2 items with next day shipping. I then realized I failed to place an order for a 3rd item. I emailed customer service explained what happened and the additional item I wanted shipped and they got it to me on time! It was awesome!
Review of this specific item - This is my 2nd power moto cable. I put it on my 2nd bike so I don't have to keep switching back and forth. The first one has 12K miles on it and has not given me a problem. Perfect length for motorcycles! i ordered the cradle at the same time and I got screws. Not sure if it came with the cable or cradle. However, Christopher is right. As I used to switch back and forth, I never used the screws and never had a problem. You can use them or not use them. Everything works the same, great!

ZUMO TRAPS CABLE INSIDE.
I noticed the customers review above, they are not necessarily needed. When this cable is inside the Zumo Powered Cradle, the Zumo will block the cable from coming loose or falling out- so it's very secure inside. I picked up some screws locally which were not hard to find at all. If you need them, they are available at any Home Depot or local hardware store. Love the Zumo!!!

NO MOUNTING HARDWARD
Warning: this cable comes with NO mounting screws. neither does the mount. The screws are tiny, special purpose, not available in stores.
