The Garmin Oregon series is the perfect sized touch screen GPS unit for your next adventure. With a three axis compass, high sensitivity GPS chipset, digital compass and sunlight readable touchscreen, you will be able to find locations anywhere in the world.
Just like its little brother the Dakota, the Oregon will support ANT+ technology for wirelessly connecting to sensors like heart rate, cadence and temperature sensors. You can even share waypoints, tracks and routes wirelessly with other ANT capable units.
The nuvi supports the most popular gps game in the world, Geocaching. The nuvi supports paperless geocaching by storing hints and comments about the cache to help you find it easier. Some Oregon models come with a HiRes Camera built in so you can geotag photos from your adventures. The camera also makes it a perfect work tool. You can snap shots of problem areas with coordinates attached then send them off to the appropriate people. They can then navigate directly to where the picture was captured using a compatible Garmin GPS with your picture loaded. |
