En plus, on peut facilement le transférer de véhicule ou le ranger dans la boîte à gants. Il est assez lourd pour supporter le poids du récepteur GPS dans les tournants. The application has my device cantilevered out beyond the edge of the mount, however the mount never tips or slides. It is good product which do the job temporary but it is not like adesive permanent mount with Garmin power cable that I have install a couple days ago . The suction mount for 2460 LMT have tendency not to stay in place and stick on it on hot and cold temperature so have to be reset . Bert Hamilton Aug 26, 2011	MOSTLY GOOD Pros: base does not move in normal driving. very stable Cons: attaching gps mount to unit a little tricky non slip base great. Never moved. Problem was with attaching GPS mount to base. If good seal then great for days except if weather changes. falls off easily if you rush the attachment. Also outer ring too high or front opening slightly too small for newer GPS units. It wiuld have been better if the outer ring was wider and lower. Once you figure all this out, it worked great. The GPS was cantilevered way out and the base wasn't heavy enough to support it well. The base stuck well, As I used it it needed more weight or a prop to put under the long arm. Recommend? As soon as the friend I was visiting Calgary with saw the mount base I had just purchased at GPS City he HAD to have one. These are great for switching between vehicle and you can forego gluing a mounting disk to your dash. So many vehicle have dash surfaces that won't accept a mounting disk. Price was right, too. HOWEVER The height of the base beanbag is too high for my Nuvi 1350 it forces it into a raised position and there is no way I have found to orientate it to avoid this.. Recommend? The Super Grip Dashboard Friction Mount Base is a great way to securely mount your GPS for vehicle navigation. Once covering layer on the bottom of the base is removed, the friction mount adheres very well to the dashboard of most vehicles. Pros: works as advertised, easy to use I recently purchased the Super Grip Dashboard Friction Mount after seeing one in a friend's SUV. I was impressed with the way it held to his dashboard even in areas where the curvature of the dash was significant. I was impressed and I asked where he had purchased it. He told me so I decided to get one for myself. I've been delighted with it thus far. I was unwilling to affix the adhesive disc supplied with the GPS to my dash or windshield because it broadcasts the fact that you have a GPS even though the item itself may not be visible thereby providing one more incentive to break into your vehicle. Besides, I'm told there are at least a couple of U.S. states where attaching anything to your windshield apart from the rear view mirror is illegal so using the suction cup mount on the windshield there would not be acceptable. The suction cup mount attaches easily to the Friction Mount Base and I can place the GPS anywhere I choose on the dash. For those who don't need a visual on the GPS and just rely on the voice cues, the Friction Mount is weighted and would keep your GPS stable on the passenger seat or, for that matter, the back seat! If there is a drawback at all, it might only be that the Friction Mount Base may not fit in some console compartments that were designed to hold just a few CD's but that really isn't a problem as it will fit easily in the glove compartment of my Matrix. I used this friction mount with the Handstands super size sticky pad purchased from Handstands, which goes on the dash first. The friction mount does not move. A true godsend of a mount. Sits stationary almost anywhere on your dash. Initial trials, on the smooth bottom of a serving tray, showed it remained stable to at least 60 degrees of tilt. Vibration from rough unpaved roads did cause minor "creeping" across the dash but not enough to be a problem. I sometimes have a problem with the suction cup coming loose sending my TomTom falling to the floor. I do wet the suction cup first but perhaps I am not pushing hard enough on the suction cup. This really works well as it doesn't require the use of the sucker on the windshield or anywhere else that might tip off a thief that you have one in the vehicle. It uses the Garmin sucker to attach to the base. The base is very stable and I just hide the whole lot in the glovebox or armrest. You could put it in the trunk as well. California does not permit devises to be attached to the windshield. I used the base on the dash in several rental cars and it works better than described. I wasn't sure if it would fit my car dash properly, as it has several rounded mouldings for the instrumentation, but this unit is so well-made that it sits up nicely on the contoured dash, with no movement at all thanks to the non-slip material on the base, even under heavy braking and cornering. The beauty of it is that I can move it between cars so easily, and it brings my GPS unit closer to hand instead of having to stretch to the windshield mount. It also makes it easier to read and hear. Rick Manitoba Feb 16, 2009	SANDBAG FALL SHORT Pros: one mount for 2 vehicles Cons: slides not grips on the dashboard I thought this was a great idea as I have 2 vehicles and moving my GPS back and forth should now be very simple. Unfortunately this sandbag mount slides all over the dashboard and is basically not useable. The Super Grip Friction in the product description just is not working for me. So I'm back to the windshield suction cup. [Ed. note: When you are using the non-skid friction mount, please make sure you have the white paper material on the bottom removed. This is there to protect the silicon bottom. Without this removed, the mount will slide. You will also have to wipe the silicon clean and your dash clean to avoid any dust. The plus side is that the GPS unit wont leave a tell tale sign on your windshield, by the suction ring, that you have a GPS unit, and when parking won't alert the would be thief that your GPS unit may be "hidden" either in the trunk , glove box or under the seat. This one rode on the dash of the GMC truck from Canada to Texas and didn't budge or slide a bit.(some rough roads too!)The bottom side is a gel like rubber and has lots of grip to keep it from sliding.
