RUGGED LANYARD

These are the only super durable lanyards I've found that you didn't have to order a custom order and get a minimum of 500. They are made out of the same material seatbelts are made out of and can withstand outdoor rugged conditions and punishment endured during Fish and Wildlife stream surveys (hiking rafting in all conditions)

COULD BE BETTER

I bought it to fit my 260 but the bracket supplied does not fit it. The only thing that I could use was the base which is excellent. I had to use my attachements that I got when I purchased ny Garmin. Thew suction does not work as well as it should and the GPS will fall off every few days. I think that when you order something for the 200 series, it should fitr all of the models in that series.

[Ed. note: The RAM-HOL-GA24 fits the nuvi 2xx series. You may have the nuvi 260W which is a wide screen. The holder for that unit is the RAM-HOL-GA25]

GPSMAP78 CRADLE MOUNT

It adapted well to an existing ram mount that I had. I simple removed the 2 screws on the back and transferred it to the new mount. I now mount my GPS in my truck, or I can take it and mount it on my quad. On the quad it is very sturdy, even traveling on very rough ground.

MOTORCYCLE MOUNT ON A SUZUKI EIGER QUAD.

I went looking for a mounting bracket that would work on a Suzuki quad. I reviewed what is available on GPScity web page for mounting on handle bars of a motor cycle and this is what I found. I contacted the GPScity order desk and they were extremely helpful. I ordered it and it mounted quite easy since the handle bars on the quad have a lot of additional items for its operation.

MONTANA REVIEW

I have mainly used this device for 4x4 road and trail navigation here in Chile. I also purchased a Chile topo map to use with this device and for some reason when I try to set a navigation path it keeps telling me "there are no routable roads in the area." I have had some success in the city but as soon as I try to navigate between towns I have this problem. other than that it seems ok

[Ed. note: You need to put your unit in to offroad mode to do direct routing. The mode you are currently in requires routable roads that your map does not have. Setup -> Routing -> Activity -> set to Direct routing]

GARMIN STREETPILOT 26XX POWER AND AUDIO CABLE

I was looking for a way to hear "the voice" on my Garmin 2620 while riding my motorcycle. I found this cable on this site and after asking GPS Cities techies if this would solve my problem I urchased it. What I did was,I got a set of headphones that I could dismember and fitted the speakers into my motorcycle helmet. Then I added an adaptor plug, from 3.5 to a 2.5 male audio pin. Now I can hear the gps inside my helmet. This setup requires you to be plugged in,since its not bluetooth, but when touring and riding long distances, the cord is of no consequence. I suppose you could even hook this cable up to an amplified external speaker as well, but I prefer the helmet speakers.

Pros: easily hear directions within my helmet

WORKED PERFECTLY

Our Garmin had become unusable due to a connection issue where the cord plugged into the cradle. Installed the new cradle and it worked like a charm. Garmin wanted to sell me a new window mount with cradle for $50 this was a fraction of the cost

AWESOME

I use this mount on my 2009 yamaha venture lite. I also purchased the steel u-bolt motorcycle mount base for my 2001 suzuki king quad. I just detach the ram mount from my snowmobile and attach to my quad. Very adaptable. Excellent purchase.

REPLACEMENT FOR BROKEN NUVI 700 CRADLE

Replacement cradle identical to original (don't need suction cup). Jack on original was destroyed by repeated flexing of cable due to moving unit on and off dash to keep out of sight when parked. New power cable is very good and cost effective because it does not include traffic receiver. Traffic receiver useless in Madison, WI, so no loss to me. Very happy with components and gpscity's fast delivery. Will definitely buy here again when I need my next GPS.

GARMIN ETREX 20 RAM MOUNT LITE

When this mount arrived it looked massive and I thought it was going to be too big. Once I actually got it installed in our car (2010 Chevy HHR) I found that it was the perfect size. The laws here in Ontario forbid mounting GPS, etc. in the middle of the windshield or in your line of sight, so I have it mounted on the lower left side of the windshield. This placement puts it in the ideal position to the left of the steering wheel so that I can see my eTrex 20 and not be bothered by it. It does not block the vents or the pillar mounted tweeters. The mount itself is very easy to install and remove. Easiest mount of any kind I have ever used.

DEAD AFTER 2 DAYS ON DUAL SPORT RIDING

won't communicate wirelessly with another 650 on the 2nd day.

after 400 miles of dirt and pavement, lost the ability to receive satellite signal

before the 650, i had the 600 and that too died while riding in baja @ 600 miles of mixed dirt and pavement. error message saying "unsupported battery detected"

Pros: big screen and works with gloves on.

12V CONVERTER WORKS VERY WELL!

I purchased this to give me an option for charging several 'mobile' devices including one of my GPS units, and it has already provided precisely the utility I was looking for. ONE OF THE BEST GPS FOR THE MONEY

This is my second unit as I bought one for my daughters cars we have both used this many many times andfind that it has everthing we need in a GPS including advance search Bluetooth and FM transmitting to hear the direction on your car radio if necessary. I find the biult in speaker is more than adequate.

X-GRIP LITE SUCTION MOUNT

I use this with a VZW Thunderbolt as a GPS. I tried a couple of other universal mounts and they were all junk. This mount works well and looks like it will last a long time. I use RAM mounts for my motorcycle GPS and and please with those also. I highly recommend this mount. The suction cup hold well, and the fingers on the grip are strong. I do get some vibration, but not enough to bother even looking into eliminating.

GARMIN MONTANA 650 - GREAT BUT IT TAKES A WHILE

This is a great piece of kit and does everything all the good reviews state. It just takes a while to get used to the interface - for example Changing the Profile is extremely important (e.g. Road or trail etc)- otherwise it will drive you nuts.

Pros: great , easy to see, can load all sorts of maps

This is my first GPS and I'm reasonably satisfied with its performance so far. However,I live in a rural area and I've noticed that frequently the GPS directions ignore the more obvious and shorter country roads as opposed to taking the longer route via a larger regional or provincial road. Unquestionably you need to supplement the GPS with the knowledge of roughly how you want to get to your destination and a map.

Pros: map quality is excellent.
Cons: doesn't always provide the shortest route.

GPSMAP 62S

I've only had the unit out on one outing, but it seems to perform well. All my friends tell me it has great features - most of which I haven't figured out yet. Maybe after I have a chance to just sit down and go through the features, it will become easier. Battery life was good: I ran the unit on a fresh set of NiMH rechargeables from about 6 in the morning till nearly 10 at night without shutting it off, until the unit warned of low battery. I didn't have much success with a wireless transfer from another Garmin.An onboard instruction manual would be a great help, as the online version is not very practical if you are trying to figure something out in the field, away from your computer. The control buttons have a good feel and the unit seems pretty well built. Screen resolution is very good and so far the accuracy of the map information has been good. I look forward to trying it out geocaching this summer.

Pros: good signal acquisition, good battery life.
Cons: complex to use - not intuitive to figure out.

THE NEVER GET LOST HAND HELD GPS

My first GPS was a Garmin Ledgend which servrd me well. I chose the Garmin Oregon 450 because of the additional features and large screen. There was an option on a higher modle for a camera but I just wanted an acurate GPS so that I could enjoy the sport of Geocacheing. The advertiment was acurate and the Garmin Oregon 450 has exceeded my expectations. We took it to Las Vegas and found over 20 caches and had a great time searching.

If there was a down side to this fine instument would be in the information given in its small and somewhat incomplete user manual. I would like to see a more indepth maual avalible either online or in print format. As it is I am learning through trial and error on how to use the great features this GPS has to offer. I have no problem either recomending the Garmin Oregon 450 GPS or the fine service I received from GPSCity and will purchase from GPS City again because they offer great prices, affordable shipping and excelent service.

Pros: light weight, touch screen easy to use
Cons: would like to have a more indepth manual on line

EXCELLENT

I bought this GPS for a trip to the UK with a UK card. It was indispensable. It found every single place we needed to get to (including some "out of the way" places). It was excellent warning us of approaching turns, roundabouts, speed limit changes, etc. and only lost the signal once over two weeks. It was also great at locating places of interest, restaurants and alternative routes. I thought it worked much better than the systems built into our cars.

Pros: excellent device, great value.

SCRATCH-OFF MISSING PRODUCT CODE

I purchased the package from this site including the lifetime map updates. This is my third garmin with lifetime updates so I am familiar of the process. When I scratched off the hidden product code the code wiped off too! Now I am asking this site and garmin what to do. Bummer.

Pros: worked fine with my first two units
Cons: lifetime product code missing from card

GOOD OVERHALL BUT WEAK BATTERY !

After weeks and Month of use i like it but I found out Battery does not last very long by itself .So if you want to learn to use it and program trip your better to buy converter AC/DC

OREGON 450T

I bought this unit before Christmas and am very happy with it so far. I have read that the screen is hard to read in bright sunlight but have found if you just turn the back light all the way down in bright light it is quite viewable, much more so than with back light on. I also like the turn by turn directions for getting to geocaches that are close to a road.

Pros: works well
Cons: too many options
