The 998c SI Combo features a brilliant color, wide-screen 480V x 800H 8" display, Side Imaging and DualBeam PLUS sonar with up to 8000 Watts PTP power output, GPS Chartplotting with built-in ContourXD mapping, and advanced Fishing System capabilities. Includes unit cover. Maximize your angling experience with the Humminbird 998c SI Combo fishfinder GPS system.
- Freeze Frame with ability to Mark Structure on Sonar (Additional Image #1)
Pressing any arrow on the four-way cursor control instantly stops the sonar graphic display to allow a closer inspection of submerged structure, bait fish, and underwater contours. Movable cursor feature allows you to instantly discern depth of any sonar return and mark waypoints from the sonar screen for navigation. Pressing the EXIT key will exit the freeze frame and the display will start to resume scrolling. Mark the location of fish-attracting structure, bottom transitions, or any feature anywhere on traditional sonar with the Sonar Cursor.
- Instant Image Update (Additional Image #2)
As the boat moves through the water, the sonar chart updates in real time to show the latest information on the sonar screen. A real time sonar (RTS) window shown on the right side of the display always updates at the fastest rate possible for depth conditions
- Real Time Sonar RTS Window (Additional Image #3)
A Real Time Sonar (RTS) Window appears on the right side of the display in the Sonar View only. The RTS Window always updates at the fastest rate possible and shows only the returns from the bottom, structure, and fish that are within the transducer beam. The RTS window can be displayed as narrow (standard), wide, or off.
- Selective Fish ID (Additional Image #4)
Fish ID+ uses advanced sonar processing to interpret sonar returns, and displays a Fish Symbol when very selective requirements are met. When a fish is detected, a fish icon and its depth are displayed above the return that has been classified as being a fish. Three different fish icons represent intensity of the sonar return, and provide an indicator of relative fish size. DualBeam PLUS equipped models represent targets detected in the 200kHz narrow beam as Orange Fish Symbols, and represent targets detected in the 83kHz wide beam as Blue Fish Symbols.
- Sonar Echo Enhancement (Additional Image #5)
Sonar Echo Enhancement shows fish, bait, and more – even watch your vertical jigging on-screen. This is possible through advanced sonar processing and provides the details you want and need. It’s important to know what depth the fish are located and equally important to be able to place your lure at that precise depth. Be careful! You may jerk the rod early while watching the screen instead of waiting for the actual bite.
- Sonar Recording (Additional Image #6)
Sonar Recordings save digital sonar information so you can play it back onscreen, and even fine tune the unit’s settings to see what else the returns reveal. Available exclusively on 1100, 900, and 700 series models with memory card slot.
- Sonar Snapshot (Additional Image #7)
Snapshots are like a digital picture of the screen and can be saved anytime you mark a hotspot. Available exclusively on 1100, 900, and 700 series models with memory card slot.
- Split Screen Zoom (Additional Image #8)
Split Screen Zoom increases the displayed resolution to separate sonar returns that are very close together. In this view, the display is split to show a narrow slice of the full range view on the right and the zoomed view on the left. The zoom preview box on the right tracks the bottom in the full range view.
- TrueArch Technology (Additional Image #9)
Many competitive sonar products commonly use post processing software to “enhance” the arching effect produced when suspended targets enter and leave a sonar beam. This additional processing can slow down performance and exaggerate the information displayed. Humminbird’s TrueArch Technology utilizes parallel processing of sonar data to eliminate unwanted interference and noise and reveal unaltered sonar echoes resulting in true arches of fish targets. This helps anglers more quickly discern the size and depth of fish targets.
- Wide Narrow Cone Split Screen (Additional Image #10)
This screen separates the sonar data using the two primary user selectable down-looking beams simultaneously in split screen. Fish ID feature shown indicates depth and in which beam fish are detected by changing color, size, and/or orientation of the fish icon.
USER-FRIENDLY TECHNOLOGY
- Custom Digital Readout Selection (Additional Image #11)
Advanced User Mode allows customization of digital readouts. Select from available options on all 5 different readout boxes.
- Custom View Selections (Additional Image #12)
User selectable views allows you to see only the views that you want, giving you the flexibility to access the information you need quickly and easily.
- Large Digits View (Additional Image #13)
Also known as Big Digits View provides digital data in a large, easy-to-see format. Depth is always displayed. Readouts for temperature, speed, and Triplog information are displayed automatically if the appropriate accessory is connected. The Triplog shows distance traveled, average speed, and time elapsed since the Triplog was last reset. The digital readouts in the Big Digits View cannot be customized.
- Selectable Background (Additional Image #14)
There are three different Background choices for a combination of twelve different possibilities for Display Colors. GPS Views only allow the Background to be changed.
- Temperature Alarm (Additional Image #15)
Allows you to preset and display an alarm when a desired temperature is reached. Especially useful to find fish that tend to stay isolated to certain temperature bands.
- Temperature Graph (Additional Image #16)
Temperature Graph allows you to display or suppress a water temperature graph over the main Sonar View to show temperature changes correlated to recent sonar history.
- Triplog (Additional Image #17)
The Triplog is a selectable readout and will only appear in the menu if a Speed Accessory, GPS or Paddlewheel, is connected. The Triplog provides average speed, distance traveled, and elapsed time information.
- View Preset Keys (Additional Image #18)
The View Preset Keys are used to program your three favorite views for quick retrieval. Instead of using the VIEW key to cycle through every view to find the one you want, you can program these to display a specific view immediately.
- X Press Menu System (Additional Image #19)
The X-Press Menu provides quick access to the settings most frequently used. Press the Menu key once to access the X-Press menu. This simple and convenient feature saves valuable time when you want to change the most used settings. Spend more time fishing and less time adjusting. Press the menu key a second time to access the main menu.
