The Initial GD-72 Vehicle Navigation System is the ideal car set-up for the avid traveling family. Combining a GPS-based navigational system with a DVD/CD player and a 7-inch color LCD, the GD-72 not only keeps the adults on the right path, but it also keeps the kids entertained.

The Initial GD-72 comes complete with US and Canada maps pre-loaded on a 2GB built in flash memory, as well as a map database with over 2 million points of interest (POI). With the GPS-based detour memory feature you will keep heading in the right direction, with voice-guided directions helping you make your way. A day/night mode function and a touch-screen display make it easy to keep on track, as well.

Staying on course doesn't mean that you have to sacrifice the entertainment of your kids. An integrated DVD player, with DVD/CD/JPEG/Kodak Picture CD playback and a built-in anti-shock system, gives you hours of playback options. Plus, with the built-in SD card slot you can play MP3 music and view pictures while travelling.

Main Menu: Select the GPS function you require.	Destination Menu: Select from Manual Address Entry, Favorites, Intersection, Recent Lookups, Points of Interest, City Center.	Address Entry Menu: Enter the destination address with the large touch screen by city, street and street number.
Select Address Menu: Once the address is entered you can save it for later as a 'Favorite', 'Show' it on the map screen or start routing with 'Go To'.	POI Menu: Find a point of interest by looking it up from one of the sub categories.	POI Menu Options Menu: Select how you want to find your point of interest sub category.

It is important to note that the unit DOES NOT ACCEPT AN EXTERNAL ANTENNA and that the GD-72 is PRE-LOADED WITH USA and CANADA STREET MAPS so the section about transferring maps to the unit from the DVD is not applicable.
