The Initial GD-70X Vehicle Navigation System is the ideal car set-up for the avid traveling family. Combining a GPS-based navigational system with a DVD/CD player and a 7-inch color LCD, the GD-70X not only keeps the adults on the right path, but it also keeps the kids entertained.
The Initial GD-70X comes complete with US and Canada maps, as well as a map database with over 2 million points of interest (POI) are included on DVD for quick and convenient reference. A built-in SD card slot gives you 250 MB of storage space for your map downloads. Plus, a GPS-based detour memory feature will keep you heading in the right direction, with voice-guided directions helping you make your way. A day/night mode function and a touch-screen display make it easy to keep on track, as well.
Staying on course doesn't mean that you have to sacrifice the entertainment of your kids. An integrated DVD player, with DVD/CD/JPEG/Kodak Picture CD playback and a built-in anti-shock system, gives you hours of playback options. The system features a seven-inch TFT color display for your movies, an FM transmitter, and an AV output/input that allows you to use portable players. Built-in stereo speakers fill the entire car with full sound, and a dual hi-fi stereo headphone output gives you the option of private listening through your headphones (sold separately).

 Address Entry Menu: Enter the destination address with the large touch screen by city, street and street number. |
 Select Address Menu: Once the address is entered you can save it for later as a 'Favorite', 'Show' it on the map screen or start routing with 'Go To'. |
 POI Menu: Find a point of interest by looking it up from one of the sub categories. |
 POI Menu Options Menu: Select how you want to find your point of interest sub category. |
 Route Options Menu: Change the GPS setting to suit how you want the routing to be calculated. |
 Display Options Menu: Change the GPS setting to suit how you want the screen to look. |

The manual covers all of the features of the GPS (including all of the menu screens), how to work the DVD Player with Remote Control and the built in FM Transmitter. It is important to note that the unit DOES NOT ACCEPT AN EXTERNAL ANTENNA. This is different to what the on-line manual states.
