This mounting bracket for eTrex has all the qualities you're looking for: lightweight, portable, adjustable. Bracket is jointed, allowing you to position your eTrex out of the sun's glare.

Attaching: Included with this mount is a battery cover case which has a male locking connection to join your eTrex unit to the mount. Mounting: The permanent disk will attach your mount, and attach it well. Don't expect to remove the mount in a hurry. If this isn't your style, try the temporary disk. Stick the mount where you need it and then remove it when you're done. Accessories: You can purchase a second base holder for this mount. The Garmin Auto Dash Mount is perfect for the second vehicle, the boat or even the bike (if you can find a flat surface). The other option is one of the Garmin Non-Skid Friction Mount Bases with a dash mount base attached. Simply connect the cradle/upper part of your Auto Mount to this 'bean filled or rubber base', and its weight will hold your mount and unit right were you left it.

(1 out of 5) AUTO MOUNT - PART NO 010-10274-00 Provided by Tony on Dec 28, 2007 I received this mount as a gift, First, I thought it was great, but soon found out, that even thou it says it compatible for all e-trek units. ---- Wrong!!!!. The supplied back plate(cover) with the mounting unit is not the same as the one that comes with the GPS (Legend CX). The Legend CX back cover has a jutted out area to cover the Micro card(Memory Card). I have checked the Garmin site and several others that sell the etrek series GPS and found that they all says it compatible. I will assume that most GPS handhelds e-trek series with a Memory chip in the back are the same. THIS MOUNT WILL NOT FIT, unless you again change the back plate supplied with the mounting unit. GPS City Comment: You are required to use the little clip that ships with all eTrex H, HC, HCx, C, and Cx models. This will enable you to use all of Garmin's mounts. Was this review helpful? The battery cover that is included with the mount is require to attach the unit to the Auto Mount. The battery cover also has a thin rubber seal around its outer perimeter edge. This is very important as it adds to the water resistance of the unit.
