GOOD GPS FOR INTERIOR CANOE TRIPPING
Cons: rubber frame came unglued shortly after purchased Average GPS an upgrade from my previous model. Would like it
to have greater memory capability. Must go for a micro SD
card model next time if the glue holding the outer rubber
has been improved

LOTS OF FUN - RUGGED AND EASY TO USE
This is my first GPS unit. I managed to get a 2gig card and it's working well - I am able to use the saved tracks on the card to match up to my photographs while travelling - A Huge help. It's accurate and fast. Highly Recommended.

Good unit for use with Garmin metro guide. Unable to figure out how to import and export waypoints with National Geographic TOPO! series. Both Garmin and National Geographic dont seem to have an answer. Check it out before you buy.

Great improvement over previous model. Micro-SD slot accomodates high-capacity chips up to 1 GB, i.e. the whole of Europe or two full TOPO maps. Detailed maps can be loaded on top of more general ones. Waypoint text now includes lower cast.

Great little unit for hiking and backpacking. Previous reviewer Norm stated he could not import National Geographic Topo waypoints to his unit. I had a little trouble doing this at first, but after some fooling around with the NG software I got it to work fine. (read & re-read the directions on how to do this in the help section)I recently downloaded waypoints to my Vista CX for a backpacking trip in the Emigrant Wilderness and it worked out perfectly. Setting up the export on the NG software is the key here. I have no real complaints about the Vista CX. It's a small unit with small characters, so be sure this fits your needs. Small form-factor and light weight are important to me.

New to GPSr's and I am enjoying this one tremendously. Surprised at reasonably good ability to maintain lock onto satellites indoors. Love the auto-routing feature in combo with maps. Great life out of the batteries!
