The latest color-display technology gives both units the brightest, sunlight-readable displays available. And with brand-new state-of-the-art receivers and powerful microprocessors, these units will give you a quick and steady fix. Both the GPSMAP 76C and GPSMAP 76CS have the familiar GPS 76-family keypads and styling, with 115 MB of memory, an Americas Autoroute basemap, and a Marine Point database. Fast USB connectivity makes loading charts and maps quick and easy, while navigation instructions can be shared with repeaters, plotters, and autopilots using NMEA protocols through the dedicated serial port. They're completely waterproof and fully compatible with MapSource products like BlueChart, U.S. Topo 24K, and City Navigator (which provides detailed streets for turn-by-turn guidance).

Paul Berney UT December 31, 1969	Outstanding. Easy to use. Multi functional with compass and Alt with GPS. Considered IQ PDA model but it is not suitable for outdoors. Best feature is that it is waterproof and it floats. Chuck CT December 31, 1969	This is a great unit. I upgraded from the Etrex Vista, and I am very pleased. This unit has a fantastic display, and tons of great options. The memory storage is 115 MB which will store tons of maps. I store road maps and topo maps for different sections of the states I visit. If your thinking of getting the 60CS and have a few more dollars to spend on memory you wont regret it. I also have the external antenna and wow does that work great as well. Lars ON December 31, 1969	Very pleased with my new GPSMAP 76CS. The display screen is super clear in bright sunlight. The brighter the better! Since I bought it three weeks ago, I've used it in the car, hiking and snowmobiling. Once you have practiced a bit, saving a route or saving a track is a piece of cake. You can save and upload the routes and the tracks to your computer. And you can prepare routes on the computer and download them to the GPS. Yes, the screen is very small, so don't count on mounting the 76cs very far away from your eyes. After many hours of use, I am still on the original 2 AA batteries; so this unit is clearly very energy-efficient. Highly recommended little GPS! 27 out of 58 viewers found this review helpful.
