If you previously purchased a Garmin GA26C, or any other antenna that terminates with BNC, and now have a unit that accepts only MCX external connectors, then this cable is what you need. With this adapter, you can convert a BNC female end to a male MCX end. Great if you own a couple of different GPS unit with differnet external antenna connections.

astrodanco CA December 31, 1969	To clarify, this pigtail has a BNC female (aka BNC jack) connector on one end and a MCX male (aka MCX plug) connector on the other end. This is used to connect an (older) antenna with a BNC plug to a (newer) GPSR with an MCX jack. For example, an old GA27 antenna with a BNC plug into a new Streetpilot 26xx, 27xx or 28xx with an MCX jack.
