The NEW MapSource MetroGuide Canada v4 CD-ROM was developed using high quality DMTI Spatial data, and is designed to provide users with detailed, routable coverage throughout all Canadian provinces. This CD is designed for use with Garmin Auto Rouing GPS products such as the StreetPilot III , StreetPilot 2610/2650, iQue 3600, GPS V, GPSMAP 196 and future routable products from Garmin. This new map data will allow you to look up addresses and points of interest throughout Canada and route directly to them. MetroGuide Canada includes provincial highways, controlled access highways, local roads and residential roads throughout Canada - not limited to major metropolitan areas. This product is not locked, which will allow users the ability to download the detailed maps to compatible GPS units such as the eTrex Legend, eTrex Vista, Rino 120, GPSMAP 76/76S, GPSMAP 176/176C, etc. The user has the ability to pre-plan their daily adventures from the comfort of their own home, using MapSource on a PC. Then they can download waypoints, routes and tracks to their Garmin GPS. Please note: The trip and waypoint management functions of this product work with nearly all GARMIN GPS units, excluding the GPS100 family and panel mount aviation units. MAP COVERAGE:View the coverage of this DVD before you buy with the Garmin Map Viewer. The Map Viewer allows you to zoom in on the map so you can review the DVD coverage area before you purchase the DVD-ROM. NMcF December 6, 2008	MAPSOURCE METRO GUIDE CANADA Did not receive v5.0 as ordered unfortunately opened and loaded to computer before this was noticed. Buyer beware. Maps are not up to date by along way. In my close area a golf course is mapped where there has been housing for as long as I recall. A golf course (different name) is about 2kl south. Craig August 27, 2008	OUTDATED LISTINGS Please note that I am rating this based only on using the map coverage online tool that is available to demonstrate the product. I looked at my home town and saw that there are many errors in the listings of businesses and services. Some of the businesses have not existed or have moved more than five, sometimes as many as ten years ago! As far as the roads and such, I was impressed that the roads included a brand-new roundabout that was built here, so while the roads themselves seem fine, I would not trust the business and service directory aspect of this software. 45 out of 94 viewers found this review helpful. wayne little July 28, 2008	NEED AN UPDATE, BADLY There are many roads in Central British Columbia that MetroGuide shows the "old" roads, not the new locations. Some of these "old" highways were used like 15 years ago. It makes for autorouting nightmares. Other than that, its alot better than nothing. Michael Hanson BC December 31, 1969	My wife and I just returned from a car trip of 21000 km. across Canada and return. We used our Garmin 76s GPS to record our track and set us straight when we got lost. This unit worked well assisted in finding places by their address.
