This Cigarette Lighter Adapter has a built in External Speaker. It is specially built for the StreetPilot 3, and is an accessory that is included with the purchase of the StreetPilot 3. There are two separate ends to the cable. One is the plug from the 12 Volt Cigarette Lighter, saving you battery life, and the other connects the External Speaker.

GPS CITY NOTE: Any form of speaker can be connected to the StreetPilot 3 with a 3/32'' jack. The Cigarette Lighter Adapter does not pass any power onto the External Speaker. All volume controls are done through the unit.
