Unfortunately not much detail for anything above the 60th line of latitude.

Donny from NS writes:

detail is wrong .. abandoned rail line showing on wrong side of village

Robert from QC writes:

So far maps appear to be reliable, but no rail roads shown.

Ken from AB writes:

I've also had some instances where my waypoints were shown on the map as being on the wrong side of the road. However, since the accuracy of my non WAAS enabled receiver is only ~15m, I suppose I can't really complain.

Map is off. my house is on the wrong side of the road...I drive in the fields and our hunt camp is 50 meters west and 30 meters down in a canyon. its hard to negotiate with the mapping software and the maps I use when it's off like this especially when you have the distance at 30m or better. When are they going to shift the maps, so the grid matches what the gps gives you. I imagine that if you are strictly driving or site seeing it is a good product, but when you are in hilly country it throws you off when it tells you you are on the other side of a creek or high feature. I like walking and using the gps as a guide but not when I have to take the bearings from the unit and view the map.

I use this product for reference only, combined with other maps, and for that purposed it's fine. I am however a little surprised this product is still being sold since there are newer ones available. Had this version pre-2000.

Although the Newfoundland railway no longer in service the rails have been removed and is now a part of the cross Canada trail system. For some reason that trail system is not shown on the mapping software. I contacted Garmin and the only answer I got was that it is contracted out and they can only supply what they in.
