MapSend Topo 3D USA sets a new standard in topo map software for your Magellan eXplorist 400, eXplorist 500, eXplorist 600, eXplorist XL, Meridian Color, Meridian Gold, Meridian Platinum, Meridian Marine, SporTrak Color, SporTrak Pro or SporTrak Pro Marine, handheld receiver. MapSend Topo 3D USA offers several important advantages that add to your enjoyment of the outdoors: Excellent topography detail! The heart of MapSend Topo 3D USA is its elevation dataset. All MapSend Topo products use an invisible grid of equally spaced horizontal points, each point having an elevation value, to model the earth’s surface. This 'grid' drives the drawing of contour lines on the screen at various zoom levels and it enables Magellan GPS receivers to perform elevation profiling on roads and tracks. MapSend Topo 3D USA uses the United States Geological Survey (USGS) National Elevation Data 30 meter elevation grid, the most detailed topo elevation dataset available for the USA. MapSend Topo 3D USA brings this detailed topo data together into one seamless map for the entire continental U.S. plus Hawaii. Define regions you want to upload to the SD card or built-in memory of your GPS. Regions as large as 240 MB can be transferred to an SD card in one shot. For example – the entire state of Washington will fit on a 64MB SD card. The uploaded map includes detailed topography, waterways, POIs and NAVTEQ streets by default or you may customize the level of detail to suit your needs. Syd Cleveland IN December 31, 1969	Magellan's MapSend Topo 3D V.1.0 is worthless. It has very few trails, no exit numbers for InterStates, does not indicate when you cross a State line. East-West streets can be off as much as 500 feet. Magellan does not allow you to make backup copies, and you have to insert the 3rd CD everytime you want to run the map program. If you damage your CD, they will not replace it, you have to buy the entire set at full price. Three times I spent 45 minutes waiting on the phone for tech support to answer. Magellan's GPS units are fantastic, but their MapSend program is beyond worthless. Do yourself a favor and shop the competition. 2 out of 4 viewers found this review helpful. WakeUpCall NV December 31, 1969	After installation program wouldn't recognize that I had the CD in. After being on hold for 47 min with Magellan, they told me that there were problems with a bunch of the CDs that were shipped and that they would send me a DVD that corrected the problem. Jim AZ December 31, 1969	3D Topo was a complete dissapointment. When I traveled with it and the old Topo many trails and back country roads were missing from the new version. Also the new Magellan requirement that only 1 GPS unit per computer prohibited me from using the other 3 explorists I bought.
