GPSMAP 76CX 76CSX 96C STAINLESS STEEL U-BOLT MOUNT PRODUCT DETAILS

The RAM Marine Grade Aluminum Mount with Stainless Steel U-Bolt Rail Base consists of the 1'' dia. ball and socket system with RAM Plastic Cradle for the Garmin GPSMAP 76C and GPSMAP 76CS Series.

BASE DESIGN:

The RAM-B-231 RAM Mount Powder Coated Marine Grade Aluminum Rail Base has a 1.0 inch diameter Rubber Ball designed to sit at right angles to the mounting rail. The Stainless Steel U-Bolt and nuts included are designed it fit on most motorcycle round handlebars, or any circular rail or pipe with diameter from 3/4 to 1.0 inch.

To mount the rail base, place the top of the base on the rail and then slide the u-bolt around the rail, into the holes in the base top. Now tighten the screws onto the u-bolt until the base is clamped firmly. If you desire, you can now slot the black plactice covers over the exposed ends of the u-bolt.

NOTE: This base is completly rust proof.

For Small Rail Mounting:

For a smaller rail, you can purchase the RAM Mount Plastic U-Bolt Adapter for circular rails with diameter down to 0.5 inches.

For Larger Rail Mounting:

For a larger rail, you can purchase the RAM Mount Stainless Steel Large Rail U-Bolt for circular rails with diameter up to 1.25 inches.

ARM DESIGN:
The Powder Coated Marine Grade Aluminum Standard Length Double Socket Arm is 3.0'' long when measured between socket centers.

CRADLE DESIGN:
The RAM-HOL-GA14 Garmin GPSMAP 76C and GPSMAP 96 Series RAM Mount Cradle is a High Strength Plastic Composite Cradle designed specifically to hold the Garmin GPSMAP 76C and GPSMAP 96 Series, including the following GPS units,

Garmin GPSMAP 76Cx
Garmin GPSMAP 76CSx
Garmin GPSMAP 76C
Garmin GPSMAP 76CS
Garmin GPSMAP 96
Garmin GPSMAP 96C

All cables can stay connected to the unit while in the RAM cradle.

The Garmin GPS 72, GPS 76, GPSMAP 76 and GPSMAP 76S WILL NOT fit this cradle. These units require the RAM-HOL-GA6 cradle.

Lyle Moose Jaw SK June 11, 2009	GOOD BIKE FIT Pros: holds the gps tightly and can be easily adjusted Cons: needs adjusting each time the gps is added/removed The mounting on the motorcycle was straight forward and the quality of the mounting braket was first rate. Getting the 76 CSx into the bracket and out requires the development of a technique which won't upset the position that you finally get jsut right for viewing and operation. The GPS is held very securely by the mount and you don't always succeed in getting it out without major adjustments needed when you put it back on. The range of adjustment is very good so you can come up with a good fit i=on the bike, for your eyes and easy operation without being too distracting from the operation of the motorcycle.
