CHEVROLET AND GMC DUAL ARM VEHICLE LAPTOP MOUNT PRODUCT DETAILS

The RAM-VB-101-SW1 Laptop Computer Stand Mount is the perfect laptop accessory for your vehicle. As part of the No Drill Laptop Vehicle Mount range, this mount has been designed specifically for use in the following vehicles:

Chevrolet S-10 Truck (1995-2004)
Chevrolet Blazer S-10 Truck (1995-2001)
GMC Jimmy SUV (1995-2001)
GMC Sonoma Truck (1995-2004)

The Laptop Vehicle Mount consists of four parts. The vehicle specific base, the RAM telescoping tele-pole, a RAM double swing arm system with the patented rubber ball and socket system and the RAM Universal Tough Laptop Tray.

The No Drill Steel Plate Base installs quickly and easily to the existing bolts connecting the passengers seat to the vehicle floor. The base plate mounts in a position to maximize the passengers leg space while also creating a foundation for the RAM telescoping tele-pole.

The tele-pole has a height range of 12 to 18 inches and is easily adjusted by turning the knob at the top of the post. Once the knob has been tightened, the tele-pole becomes a rigid support for the Laptop Tray. Connected to the top of the tele-post is a double swing arm system which includes two 6 inch arm joined with a hand adjustable knob. The arms allow easy movement and positioning of the laptop tray for either the driver or the passenger.

The laptop tray is connected to the end of the arms with a patented rubber ball and socket joint which allows tilting adjustment to the tray as well as shock and vibration isolation.

The RAM Tough Tray is spring loaded to accommodate a 10 to 16 inch wide laptop. Connected to each side of the tray are four clamping arms with a rubber tip. These arms are adjustable both vertically and horizontally for optimum grip (see the Side Arm Placement pictures on the RAM Mount Laptop Tray Page) while allowing full access to the laptop ports. All edges of the tray have predrilled holes to connect smaller RAM systems to mount a GPS, PDA, Cell Phone, Blackberry or other electronics.

RAM Tele-Pole Vehicle Mount System:

The RAM Vehicle Mount Tele-Pole System is a unique patent pending design that allows varying height adjustments.

At the top of the tele-pole is a knob. With a small twist of the knob, the swing arm is free to rotate in a 360 degree circle in the horizontal plane, while the tele-pole is locked in the vertical position. With another small twist of the knob, the tele-pole is now free to move up and down for optimum mount positioning of your laptop in your vehicle.

This easy to operate vehicle mounting system is included in the entire RAM-VB Laptop Vehicle Mounts. As with all RAM Mount products, it is strong, easy to use and reliable and includes A LIFETIME MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY.

MrChevy Salem, Oregon, USA November 10, 2009	HAD TO MODIFY TO WORK WITH A 17" NOTEBOOK Pros: hell for stout, that is for sure! very well built Cons: too tall, had to modify the pipe stand. I purchased the RAM system after researching eBay and a few other Googled places. The pipe stand was too high, completely blocking off the passenger side mirror and that area of the windshield. So we removed 5 inches from the top pipe and 3 inches from the bottom pipe stand. Then when we put it back together it worked the way we wanted it to. The middle adjusting nut/knob now is about a 10th of an inch from the passenger seat, about as low as it is possible to use it. 2 out of 3 viewers found this review helpful.
