CRADLE PLATE SUCTION MOUNT RAM-B-166U PRODUCT DETAILS

The RAM-B-166 Universal Windshield Suction Cup RAM Mount is a Marine Grade Aluminum Mount with a 3.25 inch Locking Suction Base and Diamond Plate End. The mount is designed with a RAM 1 inch diameter patented rubber ball and socket system that has adjustment point at the cradle plate and base. With a twist of the arm knob, you can move the universal locking suction base mount to your optimum viewing position. This system is a universal mounting solution for both RAM and non-RAM designed products. The hole pattern found on the diamond plate will connect to a large variety of third party cradles and mounts.

Note: This mount does not require any drilling for installation.

Universal Mount End Plate Design:

The RAM-B-238 Powder Coated Marine Grade Aluminum Universal Plate has a 1.0 inch diameter Rubber Ball connected at right angles to a 1 1/4 x 2 1/2 inch Diamond Plate. The plate has two pre-drilled holes positioned at either tip of the diamond plate. The hole pattern found on the Diamond Plate will connect to a large variety of RAM Mount and third party cradles and mounts, including those with the industry standard AMPS hole pattern. Universal Mount Arm Design:

The RAM-B-201 RAM Mount Marine Grade Aluminum Dual Socket Arm is a 1 inch B size Ball Socket Arm with open socket ends. The arm is 3.0 inches long between socket centers and is finished with a Black Powder Coating. The side of the arm includes a tightening knob which allows you to open and close the socket ends. Universal Mount Base Design:

The RAM-B-224-1 RAM Mount Plastic Locking 3.25 inch diameter Rubber Suction Cup Base, with Marine Grade Aluminum Diamond Plate, is designed to have an extra strong hold on any smooth non-porous surface. With a twist on the locking knob, the suction cup base adheres to any glass¹ or non-porous plastic surface, as found on our Non Skid Base with Plastic Disk and Plastic Adhesive Disk.

Connected to the top of the Suction Cup is a RAM-B-238 RAM Mount Marine Grade Aluminum Diamond Plate with 1 inch diameter Rubber Ball. This plate allows the suction cup to join to an open socket found on the RAM 1 inch diameter socket arms.

Suction Cup Base Mounting Options:

We currently offer three alternative solutions for mounting your suction cup mount in a location other than a windshield:

The Super Grip Non Skid Base with round plastic plate, is a weighted base that can be placed on your dash without an adhesive or drilling. Simply place the base on your dash, or any flat surface and then attach the suction cup to the round plastic plate. This is perfect when you want a temporary mounting solution but the windshield mount just isn't the answer.
The Suction Cup Adhesive Disk with round plastic plate, is a great mounting surface to attach the RAM Twist Lock Suction Cup. Simply stick the the plate to any flat surface and then attach the suction cup to the plate. This is perfect when you need to attach your suction cup mount to your car dash vertically or horizontally, rather than to your windshield.
The Suction Cup Drink Cup Holder with round plastic plate, is a great mounting surface to attach the RAM Twist Lock Suction Cup. Simply place the base into any cup holder in your vehicle and then attach the suction cup to the plate found on top. This is perfect when you need to attach your suction cup mount away from the windshield or when you just want the mount off the dash.

Hikerted Arizona August 21, 2009	VERY SECURE AND PORTABLE Pros: easy to secure/remove. The suction mount is very easy to attach to any flat, smooth surface and provides an extremely secure mount for a high-profile GPS unit that I use on my Polaris Ranger. Brent BC July 3, 2007	USED SOLELY FOR MARINE USE ... WORKS GREAT ! I use this mount for on my outrigger racing canoe. I have it suctioned to the smooth gel coat surface and I have no fear of it coming off. I have yet to get out on some really rough water but the 'smack' tests I've conducted seemed quite positive. I do keep a safety leash just in case something does happen and it plummets to the bottom of the lake/ocean.
