NUVI 6XX SERIES MOTORCYCLE BRAKE MOUNT PRODUCT DETAILS

The RAM-B-174-GA23 RAM Mount Marine Grade Aluminum Motorcycle Brake/Clutch Base Mount consists of the 1 inch diameter RAM ball and socket system with RAM Plastic Cradle for the Garmin Nuvi 6xx Series, including the Nuvi 650, Nuvi 660, Nuvi 670 and Nuvi 680.

Note: For the Nuvi 3xx Series, you will require the RAM Motorcycle Brake/Clutch Mount for the Garmin Nuvi 3xx Series (RAM-B-174-GA21)

Mount Cradle Design:

The RAM-HOL-GA23 RAM Mount High Strength Plastic Cradle is designed to hold the Garmin nuvi 6xx Series, including the following GPS units,

Garmin nuvi 650
Garmin nuvi 660
Garmin nuvi 670
Garmin nuvi 680
Garmin nuvi 600 (European Version)
Garmin nuvi 610 (European Version)

The cradle will fit around the Garmin cradle that is included with the purchase of the Garmin nuvi 6xx series unit. This will allow you to connect a USB Cable to the Garmin cradle when required.

All cables can stay connected to the unit while in the RAM cradle.

The Garmin nuvi 3xx Series, including the nuvi 350, nuvi 360 , nuvi 370, nuvi 300 and nuvi 310, WILL NOT fit this cradle. These units require the RAM-HOL-GA21 RAM Mount Cradle for the Garmin nuvi 3xx Series.

Mount Arm Design:

The RAM Mount Dual Socket Arm (RAM-B-201) is a B Size 1 inch Ball Dual Socket Arm, made of Marine Grade Aluminum. The arm is 3 inches long between socket centers and is finished with a Black Powder Coating. The side of the arm includes a tightening knob which allows you to open and close the socket ends.

Mount Base Design:

The RAM-B-309-1 RAM Mount Powder Coated Marine Grade Aluminum Clutch/Brake Motorcycle Mount Base includes a 1 inch diameter Rubber Ball and a hexagonal opening for the connection of an optional secondary RAM-B-309-3 Rubber 1 inch diameter ball. Included with this base is both standard and metric mounting bolts.

The base connects to the left or right side of your handlebar clutch/brake reservoir on the Honda Goldwing and other select Motorcycles. To see if this base will work with your motorcycle, check the hole spacing of the base against your clutch/brake reservoir. The holes centers have a minimum width of 0.94 inches and a maximum of 1.58 inches and can be viewed in the design drawing below.

malibu205 Kelowna BC Canada March 6, 2009	BEST GPS MOUNT Pros: solid materials, great fit, very good adjustments Cons: i've looked, but nothing... So I mounted this RAM for my Nuvi 650 on my vintage BMW K75 motorcycle. The mount is rock solid with no vibration even at high speeds. I've got the arms fully extended from the handelbar and I can see as well as I do when the 650's mounted in my car. I'm a machinist and I know a machinist designed this mount. Andy Courtenay, BC February 12, 2009	BOTH GOOD AND BAD... Pros: good fit Cons: lack of instructions and bolts too long The mount fits my Garmin Nuvi 650 GPS perfectly. There is even room at the back to accommodate the snap in charging module that came with the GPS. The mounting bracket for the brake/clutch line up well on my 2005 Honda Shadow Spirit 1100 but the stainless steel bolts supplied were too long, even when using the supplied spacers. The mount did not include any installation instructions either. Customer service was excellent. Purolator was late delivering the mount, so GPS City refunded my shipping costs without any argument. Larry April 20, 2008	While specified for the 2006 Goldwing, the wrong screws and spacers were shipped. I had to modify the spacerrs and buy new screws. Product was shipped with no instructions.
