TELE-POLE REMOVE-A-POLE ADAPTER RAM-VB-REM1 PRODUCT DETAILS

This unique RAM Component will allow any RAM Vehicle Laptop Tele-Pole System to be easily removed. Simple to use, pull the spring loaded locking safety pin and the entire Tele-Pole with Laptop System is easily removed from the vehicle base.

All that's left is a small discrete vehicle base with Quick Release Male Spud. Retro-fit it to any new or existing system within minutes and enjoy the pleasure of completely removing your RAM Laptop Mount, leaving you the maximum amount of room for passengers and or other items that require extra precious cargo space.

Part Number Correction:

When RAM Mount first announced the Tele-Pole Quick Disconnect Adapter, the part number was RAM-VB-QD1. RAM Mounts have now deleted this part number and changed it to RAM-VB-REM1. Now you can only purchase this part as the RAM-VB-REM1 RAM Mount Vehicle Laptop Mount Remove-A-Pole.

It works perfectly for that as well as the versatility of being able to remove the pole and laptop tray when using my truck for pleasure. Jim Little Rock Arkansas January 30, 2009	MIXED EMOTIONS ABOUT THIS FEATURE... Pros: solid construction Cons: questionable tapered design I purchased the quick disconnect with the idea that I would be able to remove it quickly if needed to make room for my wife in the passenger seat. The only problem I've found is that unless you tighten the quick disconnect pin outer shaft, the whole thing tends to sit "sloppy" and is subjected to road/vehicle vibration. Tightening up the outer shaft which is threaded and has a jam nut allows the whole thing to become rigid just as if it were bolted like a standard mount. This defeats the whole idea of being able to just pull the pin and remove the tele-pole assembly. Sure, I could just allow the tapered base to work it's way up due to vibration but I prefer a more rigid installation. The removal of the whole apparatus is still quicker and only involves using a crescent wrench with a couple of quick turns to back the outer pin shaft out of the slot. 31 out of 55 viewers found this review helpful.
