POOR MAPPING
Cons: slow and not as user freindly as the h20
I bought the Lakemaster ProMap Plug and play micro sd card for my endura out and back. The Endura software will not read the 2ndary roads and trails that are on the card. The sierra and safri will display them. Lawrance needs a new software update to let the other maps work on all endura~s

ACTUAL REVIEW FOR OUT&BACK
Pros: easy to use, highly accurate, affordable, microsd Cons: unproven in the market so far
I am disappointed that the two other reviews listed for the Out&Back are actually for other products.
The Out&Back is the best GPS I have found for those wanting a GPS that is easy to learn and use and not pay a fortune for it. The touchscreen is great! The menus are easy to figure out and navigate. The buttons are a nice addition when using in the winter with gloves. The GPS lock seems to be very good and accuracy was usually under 15 ft. I didn't expect the built in map to be phenomenal since GPS's under $200 usually don't have a great map. However, it did have good coverage of main landmarks like highways and roads, rivers, lakes, etc. It does have a compass of sorts - picks up compass readings from the satellites but you have to be walking for that to work right. This is the same for other similar products.
All in all, I think this is a very reliable, easy to use product.

CORRECTION!
Pros: size, touchscreen Cons: no other mapping seems to be available.
In my review, I indicated that I had purchased the Sierra and it didn't have the maps advertised. Correction, it was not the Sierra but rather the Safari. If it has the level of topo claimed, I sure can't find it. I think when they finally get the mapping available to either upgrade or otherwise purchase, these will be good units. I'll hold on to mine, I suppose, until next year to see if I can upgrade the map and make it useable for what I want. Good luck to all!

DECEPTIVE DESCRIPTIONS
I purchased an Out/back, took it back, then thought would try again and bought the Sierra Safari, for hunting. Discovered the mapping software, contrary to advertising, had very poor and limited contour lines, had no "hill shading", and worse yet, there is no available upgrade to the included limited maps. MapCreate, Lowrance's own mapping software does not work with this unit. The provider of the embedded map, Navteq and Accuterra, have signed over their compatible maps to Lowrance, who advises they won't be available for download or purchase until 2010. Wasted money, and I will be taking it back. It also takes forever to load and get lock on.
