NOT ALL THAT GREAT

ok so right out of the box it didn't work. i dunno if this is an isolated thing, but the first time i calculated a route it gave me a route that took 1400 miles to go what usually takes me 40 miles...ya a difference of over a thousand miles....told me it would take me days to go what usually takes me less than an hour...after that it just stops working all together and now iv got a blank screen with an arrow on it..it doesnt give me any menus or maps...just a black arrow...next ill move on to the battery life...doesnt come with a wall charger and there is no way to change the batteries...i thought built in batteries would be better but i have never been able to hold a charge more than 40 min...even though it says the battery life is up to 15 hours....next the mounting bracket always falls off my window when im driving which makes for a very safe drive, while your fumbleing around trying to pull the device out from under your feet on the freeway...oh and u have to buy your own memory card..not to much nice to say about it..kind of a waste of money...

UPDATE

I had problems with the first IWAY350C that I bought. Turns out it had an old operating system in it but Lowrance was excellent to deal with (they called me back the next day and arranged for a replacement). The replacement has worked great. I especially love the battery power that never seems to need charging. This unit only comes with Canada and US maps, you can't download other parts of the world.

I have had the IWAY350c for about 2 weeks now. The touch screen display is fantastic. The map that was preloaded (Canada and USA) was very detailed and fairly up to date. The directions it gave were sometimes confusing, telling me to keep left and merge onto a street that I was already on. My friend didn't like the female only voice or the pink only route highlight. I have one major complaint though, the address search function is completely useless. Every time I tried to enter an address I was ALWAYS greeted with the same message "ADDRESS NOT FOUND". In addition, the province of Alberta is completely mapped with crisscrossing Range Roads and Township Roads none of which can be found using the search function. I bought this GPS unit intending to use it to look up addresses and then navigate to them but since I can't find any addresses using the search function, I will be returning this unit.

I’ve only had my Iway 350C for about a week and havn't taken it on any long trips yet, but so far has to be the best portable GPS at it price point and far beyond. I have friends who own more expensive portable units, and the Iway 350C impressed even them. The Iway can read certain street names, and almost all interstate numbers. It can speak exit numbers, and provides awesome birdseye navigating (like the system in Infiniti vehicles.) And the built in speaker, and rechargeable battery, provides a clutter free dashboard and makes it easy to move from car to car. The best part about the system is I didn’t even crack open the manual, it is so easy to use, my girlfriend who never used any GPS was able to figure out how to look up restaurants in a matter of seconds. I was thinking about getting the Garmin Quest 2, I’m so happy I waited for the IWay!

just bought this iway350c n used it about a week. for this price point n its features, no wonder it won awards at sema show. gps functions as good as any.. color screen bright, scalable and readable in sunlight. small light unit so easily set up in my car with sticky velcro patches. Finding addresses a cinch n navigation is good. datbase very good with good no POIs MP3 player very usable and fm transmitter is a bonus. even stops music playing to make announcents. a little quirk here ... my unit does not want to say kilometer! only meters or miles! Unit is small enough and light to put in a large coat pocket .. adefinite bonus for me being portable therefore can be used when i go travelling or be a tourist! customer support from lowrance has been good when i contacted them once to set up my unit
