SUPERMAN

Pros: if you pencil underwater scenes
Cons: 327 dollars worth.oh and no fish

Thats who you would have see the pick up on a fish. The underwater view was ok.IF thats what your looking for. Brought mine back after 2 weeks of stareing at screen. Maybe a fish alarm would help. I did go out and trade up to the Elite 5X hoping for better results.

"IT WOULD MAKE A NICE PAPERWEIGHT"

Pros: looks nice
Cons: doesn't work worth crap.

I have used the unit 5 times. two of those trips were tournaments. Haven't seen a fish on the screen yet. Also if you get in 8 feet of water or less it doesn't show the bottom, just a digital readout. I'm really sorry that I bought this unit.

FIRST 3 HOURS OF USE

Pros: never lost the bottom
Cons: have not yet seen a fish, i might use my old one 2

I went from a 96 hummingbird to a 2011 Lowrance mark5x dsi and am impressed at what it picked up on bottom. I could see the oil derick in the lake from bottom to surface. I could see a no wake bouy cable. Icould see the slab of a house amoung rocks. I could not see or understand what I was looking for FISH. It was windy and ruff. I have not given up on it yet.I cold see sdthe screen in bright direct sun perfectly. worthless instuction book. What is a fish suposed to look like??????
