GPS 310 ON THE WATER
Pros: good for short routes while on the water Cons: not worth a dahm in the bush without bread trail
Great little unit for on the water. It only shows what direction you are going, but because of this , a used unit is fairly cheap!! Once you have marked and labeled a waypoint, and want to head back to it, it tells you were to turn to keep you on a stait coarse to your point. It allows you to set the ammount of waiver off track you want to allow yourself.
By outting multiple marks or waypoints to gether you can make a route which it will follow forwqad ans reverse .....NOT TO MANY features, but a great little unit to have for a fishing boat- by marking where the scool was when you passed over it,you can hit it time and time again. With only 100 marks storage, and one route storage this unit is limited to small fishing trips, and with no bread crum trail, you must have a compass with youin the boat. It will tell you at present speed, how long to get there, and how fast you are going, but without showing the route as a trail, even though it tells you how to stay on track,I find its use limited to my boat only. It isn't very good out in the bush while hunting, without the bread crumb trail.
