Manufacturer Description |
This cable allows you to make a powerful connection between your Magellan GPS and your PC. Create routes and waypoints on your PC and transfer them to your GPS. You can also download map detail from the Magellan range of CD-ROMs to compatible units. Cable features a standard 9-pin D connector. Connects to any 12-volt receptacle.
This cable has the molded Magellan plug at one end to plug into the Magellan Meridian and SporTrak Series units, and sports two separate cables, one with a cigarette lighter adapter (with fuse protection), and one with a PC Interface cable to serially connect to a Windows computer (for uploading of waypoint info and for downloading mapping data to the unit).
THE PERFECT ACCESSORIES:
1. The AC to CIGARETTE LIGHTER ADAPTER allows you to connect a ANY cigarette lighter cable into a 110 VDC wall socket.
2. The DUAL CIGARETTE LIGHTER ADAPTER allows you to connect two (2) cigarette lighter adapters to one (1) socket.
3. The DB9 to USB ADAPTER allows you to connect the serial end of this cable to a USB Port.

If you want to provide power to your Magellan unit AT THE SAME TIME that you want to send serial data out, you will need this cable, or one of its sister cables, depending on the GPS model. This is due to the fact that Magellan GPS units have only one connector port available (to reduce risk of leakage or moisture entering the unit).
