Hello Cooper,

This can power devices that require less the 500mA of power and use a cigarette lighter adapter to power them. You will need to check the specs of your MP3 player to see its power consumption. Because this can supply power to GPS units I dont see why it wont work with your device. Please check you specs first to be safe.

Cheers

Hi Jordan: XmP3 Manual states product specs are external power: voltage 5.2V DC, current 1600mA. Is there an adapter I can use to convert AC power to 12V DC? Thanks again for your help!!

Hello Cooper,

Do you know what the input voltage and power rating for the cigarette lighter cable is? That will determine which AC/DC would be sufficient. I am thinking the Garmin one should be fine. It outputs 12V at 1 amp. That is the highest current rating I have for a AC/DC converter.

Because you will most likely need an external antenna for your satellite radio indoors, I would advise you get the home kit for your unit. Pioneer offers one with the correct power adapter, external antenna, audio jacks, and more. Just google "xmp3 home kit" to find a retailer.

Cheers
