I own a GXM30 I bought it from GPS City 14 months ago. It quit working.
Questions:
1. Where should I send the unit for a repair estimate?
2. How much should I expect to pay for the estimate?
3. Is it common for them to fail in such a short period of time?

Thank you in advance for your help,

Answer:
1. All of Garmin's repairs in Canada are taken care of by Raytech Electronique in Quebec. They can be contacted at 1-888-887-6627 or online at www.raytech.qc.ca.
2. Repairs range upwards of $100, you would have to contact Raytech for a specific monetary quote.
3. It is not normal for the GXM 30 or other GPS units to fail within the first year or so. However this being said, there are many factors to consider with a failed unit, such as environment, defect from production, etc.

Environment is not an issue it gets a nice smooth ride on my ‘08 Concours 1400, a little rain, but definitely nothing unusual.
I contacted Garmin directly at 1-866-429-9296.
They are warranting the unit.
A bit of a wait to speak to a human, but a very helpful and kind human named Lance C.

Glad to hear Garmin is taking care of the issue. A common practice for them, as they are well-known to stand behind their products, but nice to see regardless.
