Bluetooth and Volume issues?

Hi, another question. When the gps syncs bluetooth to my phone, it seems to auto crank down the volume quite a bit, I have to go to Menu > Volume and increase or decrease it to bring it back up. This seems like a pretty major bug and happens every time. Is this a known issue? I think I came across one other site on the net where someone mentioned this as well.
Also, does anyone else seem to have to wait a while, once your phone is connected by bluetooth for the phonebook, etc to be synced to the phone? I wish it would store the information there and only sync the difference as that would be much faster. While this sync is in place, sometimes I can't make a call, or hang up a call as it seems unresponsive. I'm guessing because the bluetooth connection bandwidth is maxed?

Hello Cory,
Thank you for the feedback. I would suggest that you do a firmware update to see if that resolves the issue. If not then please pass you experience onto Garmin (1-800-800-1020) so they can fix it. I have not seen any such issues. It may also be an issue with your phone. Not all phones are fully compatible. Here is a link to Garmins site for compatibility.

Yes, I've definitely done the updates since I got it. Thanks.
Yes, my phone (Nokie e71) isn't on the list, but that should affect the volume of the device when it's connected.
I did a little more searching and found a guy with the same issue: http://getsatisfaction.com/garmin/topics/volume_drop_on_nuvi_265wt
I definitely have run the updates though. I will see about passing the info along to Garmin.
Thanks

The Nuvi 265WT is an older unit and as such would be unlikely that Garmin would put out a software update for it.
I would suggest trying to pair the Nuvi with a different phone to see if the same issue appears. If not then the phone may be the problem.
