Battery Life Not Even Close To Manufacturers Specs?

I purchased a 755T this past December and notice it had a very short battery life, basically within 1/2hr not much battery life left. Received a new one from Garmin but still have same problem. Any thoughts?

The battery life on Garmins page is for ideal conditions. So the backlight on low, FM transmitter turned off with no audio playing. Also the map refresh also effects the battery life a little.
You may want to try turning the backlight to the lowest setting and make sure the fm transmitter is off. Also change you mapping detail to lowest so that the unit does not have to draw or refresh the screen as much. Make sure you use a proper charger also so that the battery is getting topped up. do not use a charger made for another device such as a blackberry.
