What is the Stop Icon for on the nuvi 2555LMT?

When I use my 2555LMT, I see 3 icons at the right side of the screen Mute, Stop, Traffic.
What does this Stop icon do? When I press on it, it will go away and it won't come back on the screen.

When you are navigating a route it will stop that current route.

So, if I press the "Stop" by mistake, is there any way to resume current route?

Yes you can restart you navigation by selecting the point you were navigating to from the recently found menu.

Does this mean that I have to start over again? Go to the recent destination and start again?

Is there any way to remove this STOP icon on the navigation screen? Very easy to press this icon by mistake.

The GPS unit will start your route from your current location. Yes you can remove the stop button in your settings menu.
