Hi:

What is the correct map coverage for the 2495LMT units you sell??

There appears to be an ambiguity in what coverage areas are included with this GPS unit:
1) Your Spec sheet specifies "Map coverage area: USA",
2) In the comparison section, the "ships with" list notes "Preloaded City Navigator NT North America" (which I would assume means at least USA & Canada)
3) Another web site specifies its package includes: "... Preloaded City Navigator NT North America (United States, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands and Bahamas) ..."

Sorry, for the ambiguity as there was a typo in the specifications.
The map coverage area included with this GPS is North America which includes Canada, USA, and Mexico.

FAR too many people don't know that "North America" geographically covers 23 countries. Most people think it doesn't even include Mexico. It is puzzling why Garmin has/had been mis-naming / mis-informing about their software for years.

There is only coverage for a few countries in north America. So normally (not always) when you see Garmin, Tomtom, Magellan ... saying they have North American maps it refers to the countries with coverage. Most maps are not made by the GPS manufacturer. So if there is lack of coverage it is not because they didn't want to put it in the unit. It is because the map makers have not made maps for that area yet.
