Original question asked on Nov 17, 2011, 3:00am
Is it possible to plan a route on Basecamp and/or Mapsource and then have it sent to this 2595 Garmin Unit? If so how difficult is it? If not what GPS unit will allow this?
Thank You in adavance,

Sean

Planning a route on a PC is simple. All you need to do is download basecamp and plug your unit into the computer. The Garmin Basecamp software will read the maps from the internal memory then you can plan routes using the available tools. Just drag the route you created to the unit and you are done. when using the unit just check the trip planner for your route.

Is there an online manual that explains how to use BaseCamp? I have a new Oregon 450, and have downloaded Basecamp from Garmin.com.

You say " you can plan routes using the available tools. Just drag the route you created to the unit and you are done"

Where can you learn how to use Basecamp?

The manual is built into Garmin Basecamp. Just click on help and go through the topics. There is lots of information in the Help menu.
