The US mapping version is available but is only $10.00 less in price.
Reply #3: May 20, 2012, 3:12pm Could someone explain why the Nuvi 50LM is considered to be a downgrade of the 1250? I just bought this for a birthday gift and want to find out if this is the bet product for the $'s? We actually exchanged the 1250 thinking this was the upgraded newer gps. Any help would be most appreciated as we have not used any GPS' before and welcome help!
Reply #4: May 20, 2012, 7:59pm The 50LM has a larger screen and has all the main GPS functions that the nuvi 1250 has. The 1250 has a nicer feel to it compared to the nuvi 50LM. For basic navigation either is fine.
