Is this GPS good for ATV riding and exploring?

I hope this will work.

I thought I knew what I wanted in a GPS.

I had tentatively decided on a Garmin Nuvi 500 or the Nuvi 550 and I started to research my choice.

I read somewhere about a lack of waypoint storage on the Nuvi. On your Oregon, one can save 1,000 waypoints and 10,000 points and 20-tracks. (But the display seems a tad small).

I'm sure I'd want to have Canadian topo maps on the GPS.

I want to load, store and readily add new ATV tracks showing waypoints along routes plus points of interest.

I want to be able to add other new tracks created by other riders from various sites on the web.

I think I'd like a GPS with a larger display I intend to mount it on the dash of my Polaris RZR sport utility vehicle.

It's got to be easy to use.

I was expecting to spend under $300 Canadian for a GPS, mount, vehicle power adapter connection, etc.

What say you?

Lee J.

The Garmin nuvi 550 is not good for ATV or outdoor use. I would suggest the Oregon 450 as a much better GPS unit for your use. Please note the sale ends today. Unfortunately you will not be able to get everything under $300. Once you are all in with the current sale, topo maps and mounts, you should be closer to 500. after todays sale you will be closer to $600.

Thanks for the comeback:

Since your base price for the 450 is $449, could you give me a list of the additional items you'd include with their individual prices.

What do we do to close a deal?
