That all depends on the user. If you find that you use your unit while the vehicle is moving speech recognition will make that a little safer. If you live in an area with hands free driving laws it could save you a ticket. I would not say it makes it faster. Some people have no problems with the speech recognition. I personally have some issues with address input but not other aspects of the speech recognition.

I've found voice commands tremdously helpful. As a real estate professional, I have need to go to several addresses sometimes on a daily basis. You do need to speak clearly.
