does windshield mount for this unit work well in newer Camry...large (deep) dash and very sloped windshield. Can it be mounted in console area instead??

I am not familiar with the inside of your vehicle. You should not have any issues mounting it on the windshield. The device and mount are small.

You can mount in on the dash with the additional dash disk (not included). They dash disk is free. You will need to request one at the time of purchase because Garmin no longer includes them in newer nuvi's. I am not sure the size of the area you have on your console but it may fit in there also.

We also have RAM mounting options if you need to mount it to the floor or elsewhere.
