Problem with phone blacking out?

I bought a new phone, Nokia 500. I was glad that I can download apps for free directly from my phone but is it normal if it hangs up, fade and then black out? The store I bought it from said that I have 7 days where I can return the phone in case of factory defection. Is the fading and blacking out part of the factory defection?

Sorry but we do not sell or support cell phones and do not have a good answer for you. Please contact Nokia directly and or your phone dealer.

** a phone will fade and black out when it goes into power save mode. That is dependent on the phone and can be better answered by your retailer.
