Does this unit have the latest NA and Europe maps?
Is there a updated map guarantee for a year or so?
Can you preload itinerary's with waypoints similar to the TomTom devices?
Does Garmin have a MAC based program like TomTom Home for updating the device?

Hello Wayne,

Does this unit have the latest NA and Europe maps?
No, but you get a free update to make sure you have the latest maps for one region.

Is there a updated map guarantee for a year or so?
Like all Garmin navigation units you only have 60 days to do the update.

Can you pre-load itinerary's with waypoints similar to the TomTom devices?
If you would like to plan your trips you will have to look at a better GPS unit like the Garmin Nuvi 775. The 275 is a base model and lacks those features.

Does Garmin have a MAC based program like TomTom Home for updating the device?
Garmin is support under mac a lot better than TomTom at this time.
