Garmin 3590LMT problems with traffic and voice command?

I had my Nuvi 3590LMT for about 3 weeks now. Its going back. First, the traffic receiver never worked, and I am in the Chicago Suburbs. We have coverage, just not on my Nuvi. The Voice Commands worked for a week or so really good, but now do not respond properly. Finally, the traffic turn arrow in the top left when you are on a route often stays pointed "straight ahead" instead of pointing left or right as my turns go.

Anyone else having these issues.

Garmin people are GREAT however to work with !!

Running the Garmin WebUpdater program to load or reload the latest software will usually fix most issues.

The voice command is sensitive to surrounding ambient noise and may not function properly because of it.
When in the vehicle, the windows should be up and the sound system muted for the best results.

Also, call Garmin Tech Support for assistance as they may be better to assist with these issues.

Tom...I've run the webudater many times with no luck. The voice commands are best with no noise and no windows down. Mine worked very well for about 2 weeks...now using it the same way as before it is not working properly. It often locks up as well. I've down the factory reset also...no luck at all.

Thanks for the info.

Greg

Sorry---I meant "Done the factory reset" not "Down the factory reset".

I have a problem with mine restarting constantly and traffic receiver not working, and voice command pops up for no reason with no interaction to do so. My software is up to date. Most of the time when i try to use the "My Cameras" it just shows up blank and I pay for all of the subscriptions. I get weather alerts that there is a tornado warning or watch and I touch it and it is blank and no info.

Greg I remember when we were counting down to receive these, I was so excited, now I feel like I have a POS GPS. I never had problems with my other Garmin Nüvi.

Being a new release there may be a few bugs to fix. It is best to contact Garmin for assistance on these types of issues.

ROB...how right you are. In fact, I've been thinking of you and our anxious waiting. I always have been a tomtom guy, but thought I would give Garmin a chance. Their customer service is good, but I hope not all of these new Nuvi's are alike. Mine was sent back and they say 10-14 days for the new one to arrive. I thought it would be nice if they expedited a return for me, but I'll have to wait. Best of Luck Rob. Call Garmin and tell them you want a new one..they will email you a shipping label so you can send it back for free.

bought my 3590 and the voice recognition worked remarkable...for about 3 days that is...radio on, windows open, speaking softly all the do nots and it worked perfectly...then 3 days later i would say 2 bradford place and it would say 3454678 smokeroliene st. and that with the windows up, radio off, ac off, yadda yadda...reloaded all the software etc...still bad...need refund...will use old one till they get it right or go with tom tom...dont know if they are good or not...THE REST WORKS FINE BUT ITS WORTHLESS WITHOUT VOICE RECOGNITION

The Tomtom voice recognition is not much better, if at all than the Garmin Voice recognition. All voice recognition in electronic devices is not perfect.
