Is there anyway for me to know if my 3590 traffic receiver is automatically updating every 30 seconds or so? My 3590 traffic receiver does not seem to show accurate traffic congestion when driving Los Angeles freeways. In other words, when traffic comes to a standstill, the 3590 traffic icon is still green, telling me that there is no traffic. I was happy to pay a high price for that model, for that 30 second traffic update feature, but it does not seem to work.

No it will not let you know when the last traffic update was. On the traffic screen it will tell you if it thinks the data is up to date. If you live in an area with HD traffic and you are not getting the service please contact Garmin at 1-800-800-1020
