Can Canada maps be added to the 40LM?

1) If I order the 40LM can I add Canada?
2) What does it mean that they can terminate the life time maps at any time? Does that mean that in a year or so this feature may not be available?

Yes, Canadian maps can be added to the Garmin Nuvi 40LM US model.

In regards to the map termination question, Garmin puts those legal disclaimers in place to protect themselves. They may change the format for lifetime map updates or have to otherwise alter this current program in some way in the future. As the Lifetime Map Update program is relatively new, it should not be discontinued in the near future. For more information we would suggest contacting Garmin, 1-800-800-1020.
